I saw The Magic Numbers at the Oxygen festival in Ireland around 4 years ago now. I didn't have a clue who they were, they were on the new band stage, but I loved them and from that day on I have been a huge fan. Going to see them again this year for my birthday I cannot wait they truly are amazing... there vocals are just out of this world.... top band!!

Always liked The Magic Numbers tunes but wondered what they would be like live... A bit folksy perhaps! Not at all!!!! They were a proper rock band with fabulous guitar work, especially the bass and the most amazing vocal harmonies. Fantastic rapport with the crowd and the best live show I have been to since I can't remember!!

They are so wonderfully normal, always peased to be playing and seem to really appreciate the crowd making the effort to come and see them. We just love to see them, including my teenage daughter, although she finds my dancing hideously embarrasssing.....

First time i've seen them, been a fan obviously for some years. Very impressed, very good mixture of new and old stuff, support act was superb "Danny Champion of the World". Interaction with us the audience was brilliant, made us feel like they wanted to be there just as much as us. Extremely talented band and most importantly, warm, kind, good and generous people. If you want to see a 62 year old dance and grin wildly for 2 hours take her to a magic numbers gig - she loved it! I thought it was much much better than expected ( I wasn't expecting much). They are seriously talented and enthusiastic and most of the time the atmosphere was great - borderline electric - but when they played their slow numbers I nearly lay down and went to sleep. Probably very nice to listen to at home in a darkened room but not really my idea of gig material. However there was enough of the upbeat happy music to make the evening worth while and the band and crowd seemed very friendly and cheery.

The Magic Numbers were excellent ! However all the acts before were not that good and the drinks at Shepherds Bush Empire were so very expensive ! Smokers beware you cant go outside for a cigarette until 9.00pm which coincided with when the Magic Numbers came on !

Despite a tendency to loose focus on record, live the Magic Numbers really know how to put on a show. The greater empahasis on the guitar sound gives the quieter numbers a momentum sometimes absent on record, whilst the interplay of vocals is sublime. A really good night out.

Been watching the Magic Numbers since they were playing pubs in Camden. They were fabulous to begin with but just keep getting better and better.

As a bass player I was envious of Michelle's two massive Orange bass stacks and impressed by her seeming new found love of busting classic rock shapes at every opportunity.

Most bands can't rock so hard or sing such sweet harmonies let alone do both at the same time.

If you get the chance to see them don't miss it!

Another brilliant performance from all members of the Magic Numbers, they all put their all into the concert and it certainly showed. The playlist was also great with a good mix of songs from their new album and they also played some of the classic Magic Numbers songs. A brilliant evening made even better by the band meeting all the fans afterwards. Brilliant

I have seen these guys before and they blew me away with the vocal quality and excellent harmonies all through the band and they did not dissapoint in Shefield infact they seemed to be a bit more rocky, This band are well worth a watch and give excellent value for money, Supported by Danny & the champion of the world who were also well worth a listen, All in all the Magic numbers will always please (most crowds anyway) with there easy melodic tunes, I thought the band coming down into the crowd before they played was a nice touch also.

Magic Numbers play a great live show, they really don't receive the recognitiuon they deserve. Seeing them at the Leadmill was great, a small compact venue brings you really close to the band. I think they sound better live than on CD go and see 'em.

A marvellous evening. The Magic Nimbers were proceeded by 2 support acts, who were top drawer, playing harmonious rockabilly ./ folky music. They were excellent musicians with great voices. Romeo & Michelle from the Magic Numbers even came into the crowd to watch the support acts, and talked to the crowd, had photos taken etc, lovely people. Then the Magic Numbers came on stage. The sound was excellent, the musicianship top class, and the band , especially Romeo, interacted with the crowd superbly. An excellent live band, with no attitude about them. I would recommend any music lover to go and see them..

My wife slipped off to see the Magic Numbers in a tent whilst we went to see Neil Young at Hyde Park last year and raved about them. When they wer booked to play Newcastle Uni in June she insisted we attend, I agreed. Usualy I buy a few cd's to listen to ease myself into a new gig but this time, because the original June date was cancelled ,this was overlooked.
No matter the reorganised date of the first day of October came with as much rain as I've seen fall in one day for a long time and put the planned day of eating and drinking on hold so my wife volunteered to drive through to Newcastle.
In the Uni bar Guiness at £2.30 was drank and we entered the Basement to watch the support: a cross between Bruce Springsteen/Beautiful South trio, excellent.
Next up after now £3.00 Guiness arrvied the Magic Numbers who delivered a truely memorable set, I recognised only two songs, but danced along to every number. This was the the closest I'd been to the band since going to the Bay Hotel in Sunderland and sat in the front of a Nice gig. Brilliant.

magic numbers put on great show .. the girls in band are also awesome .. i love that they write all there own music .. and also play their own instruments .. love this venue as its more intamite and more personal with the crowd ..mn love their fans so so much too as they were signing autographs and speaking to their fans after the show ...loved them !!! x
