One of the best & loudest Motörhead gigs I've been to in a long long time. The whole event exceeded expectations.
Anthrax were awesome with a fast paced, high octane set set list that took no prisoners. Thrash metal at its best with Joey Belladonna interacting with what seemed every single person in the audience. By far the best supporting band on a Motörhead UK tour in over a decade. Motörhead certainly had a hard act to follow.
Motörhead were well...Motörhead, they never fail to disappoint. The perpetual Rock icon that is Lemmy was in fine voice, bouncing off Phil with a good level of banter. The set list which included some changes since the first night at Wolverhampton was a well thought out balanced set. Over the moon to get "rock it" which was last aired live in 1983? although I have to admit a little jealousy towards those at the Wolverhampton gig who got a rare rendition of Sacrifice. Only gripe I would have liked a couple more songs.
I left a happy man with that "Motörhead live" itch scratched until next year. Bring on Download
