I was not a massive Russell Watson fan before the concert, I went with my mum, I liked his music but that was about all. Now after being the concert, I am totally and utterly in love with Russell Watson! He was such a good performer, got the audience involved and kept the theatre alive the entire time, well worth the money to watch...I hope my mum enjoyed it as much, he he! :o)
Would definately go and see him again...

As usual,Russell was on splendid form.Unfortunately,he was unable to do the walkabout,as the stage was at the other side of some water,but the fireworks made up for that,well almost! Your voice is becoming richer all the time.

The stage was amazing and even the weather, it cleared off into a beautiful evening. There were fly pasts, the first a lone seagull and then almost at the end, a skein of about 20 geese flew right across low, between the stage and the audience, couldn`t have been managed better. And then the Fireworks. What a bonus. Russell was really chatty and seemed to enjoy the atmosphere too. Everyone enjoyed the evening with arias, patriotic Jerusalem etc. and even Bridge over Troubled Water, which is my all time fave song. Thanks Russell it couldn`t have been better., and his voice gets richer and smoother the older he gets! The support act , 4 fab. voices was excellent too.
The only slight criticism was that there didn`t seem to be any way to find out what time the actual concert would begin, either on the web or through the booking office. So you more or less had to be there for the gates opening at 6pm. which was the only timing you could get. Then nothing happened until 7.30. If it had been wet it would have been awful!!

As always Russell was outstanding, he certainly is one of the best and never fails to dissappoint.
Only downfall was the seats, mis sold by ticketmaster with different seat numbers from purchasing on this site, due to my fear of heights I had what I thought booked Low seats , oh no on arrival right at the very top, I had to speak to security who very kindly let me move but luckily all turned out good because we ended up with the best seats in the house, Russells amazing voice carried so well out doors, and when the geese flew over it couldnt have been planned better.
The fireworks at the end wow amazing really was the ending of the show.
Cant wait till his next concert , Russell you are an inspiration ane we are so proud and privilaged to support you , amazing xxxx

The rain stayed away - a bonus. We got an encore at end and the fireworks were amazing. The group that appeared with Russell were very good -unsure how to spell their name and didnt buy a programme - 2 males and females - but were excellent.

Great Night, Outstanding Orchestra and Music from Russell, Amore were great sure we will hear more of them in the future. Thank you for an unforgettable night. Fantastic Fireworks at the end, Flyover by the birds, looked like it was planned

The concert was amazing as is usual for Russell Watson, the only downside is that Ticketmaster didn't indicate on the tickets what time the concert started, it only said that gates open at 5.30pm, it unfortunately confused us and a lot of other people attending.
Russell Watson, his orchestra, backing singers and support artists (Amore) were amazing so any problems at the start were quickly forgotten

What a brilliant night, and it stayed fine. Russell was his usual witty self commenting on seagulls, and a wonderful fly past of about 10 geese, he called the grey arrows, so funny. Proms and Olympic theme could not have been better, proud to be British. Thank you Russell, we love you xxx

Russell, the Orchestra and the 4 piece group were all excellent. Fortunatley the rain stayed away!!
The only 'niggley' bit was the seating. There were a large number of empty seats and rather than someone co-ordinating the seating better and 'bunching' people together the empty's stuck out like a sore thumb. At the interval my mother and I moved to a seat nearer the front and amongst more people, as did a few others. I can't understand why these seats were not appearing as vacant when I booked in May ?? Only ticketmaster could answer that perhaps. The firework display was a welcome surprise and excellent. Overall it was a very good evening.

I bought these tickets for my parents birthdays. They absolutely loved the show. They said the whole thing from start to finish was amazing. They said not only was Russell Watson a fabulous singer but was also very funny. In regards to the venue, they described it as really well organised to get in and out safely. They thoroughly enjoyed their birthday surprise!

A fantastic night out especially during the Olympics and with lots of flag flying! Russell Watson was at his best blasting out Land of Hope and Glory and throwing in a few classics like Caruso which was flawless. Involved the audience throughout show getting everyone to sing along with Volare which was brilliant. Orchestra including the group Amore were also fantastic and to top it off, it all ended with a firework display worthy of an Olympic opening ceremony.
He also nipped off stage at the midway point to check sky news and announced Jessica Ennis had struck gold keeping us up to date with Britains finest day at the Olympics.

Great music, great voice. Amore were an unexpected treat. Venue and setting a definite plus and would go to see Russell Watson and other events here in future. Only one niggle: the two sets were disappointingly short for the ticket price.

We were a little worried about the venue, being open air but, thankfully, the rain held off and we enjoyed a brilliant performance, not only by Russell himself but also his Musical Director Robert Emery, orchestra and singers, as well as the wonderful quartet Amore.
We missed the intimacy of being up close and personal with Russell and the usual banter he enjoys with his audience but, because of the water separating the audience from the stage, this was impossible.
Was particularly impressed by the company responsible for security. Not a "jobsworth" in sight;. one in particular thanked us for coming and hoped we'd enjoyed the night.

A great night out in the open air(and didn't rain) Russell's voice is as strong as ever, wonderful night out great choice of songs backed up with a great orchestra and backing singers. Can't fault it.

Overall we enjoyed the show but were disappointed that Russell wasn't on longer. His support act "Amore" seemed to have nearly as much time on stage. They were very good but we had paid to see Russell. All we got was about 20 minutes before a 30 minute interval and about 40 minutes out of the second half of an hour or so.
We have seen many top name acts at Scarborough Open Air Theatre (Jose Cararas, Elton John) and other top venues such as Manchester Arena (Tina Turner, Cher, Meatloaf) all of them spending much longer performing on stage.
I'm afraid that we will not be attending any future performances of Russell Watson.

Concert with ending firework display was excellent. Only comment is that performance at 7.30 - tickets gave 5.30 start altered to 6p.m - what was actually meant was opening time of venue.
People not in White section didn't get good view except on screens. Our DD row came after A_Z which I didn't know on booking - so lots of steep climbing. Many older people and people with sticks struggled.
