After booking tickets to this event back in April, the anticipation level was high. We were slotted to see the Saturday afternoon battle between Rafter and Goran followed by two double matches. The quality of tennis in the singles match was excellent; however, it was a real shame that Goran had to retire. Admittedly, at this point, the £50 tickets were looking expensive and the afternoon a bit of a let down. Enter Mansour Bahrami.... quite simply, this man and his playing partners provided a fantastic display of skill, charm, and humour not normally seen on a tennis court. The entertainment value of trick shots (too many to list), creativity (acting out a decisive point without a ball) and banter ("what a shame") was wonderful. We felt like playing with them!
