The first time I went I was sixteen and I'm 45 now. I know I'm old but it's lost it's allure for me. But I was ashamed when I left last year. I know it's got even more commercial, it has to to keep going, but there was a distinct lack of respect last year. I could have opened a hunter wellie stall with all the abandoned ones had I had the ability to carry them ; just disregarded. Going to see a 'headliner' used to be an experience and yet last year it was just a case of trying to find your space and cling on to it. just not the same. I've missed only two in nearly thirty years and I know People will think I'm hanging on to a dream or a memory, but last year just wasn't the same. The almosphere isn't what it was. Sorry. To all of the that go I sincerely hope you enjoy - and you really will I'm sure, just not the same as it was for me.

i went to glastonbury for the first time this year (2010) with me and my cousin. bearing in mind it was my first proper festival too! i had the best time ever, i went to see bombay bicycle club, la roux, hot chip, muse, slash, seasick steve, stevie wonder, the dead weather, the xx. they were all amazing. also we went to see the special guests which turned out to be biffy clyro who i am a massive fan of. all the people were lovely and all was just set out for a good time and not looking for any trouble, met loads of new friends. we had some good times at the park too where we went down the secret rabbit hole, that was fun. i would recommened this for all familys aswell because they have attractions for the children and just a great enviroment for them. i loved it. will be going again for sure :)
