Favourite moment: When Brandi asked if she could play a new song for us and an audience member said "well is it any good??" - really made brandi chuckle. @

I'ts been far too long since Brandi was on our shores! Although we missed Ali and the twins - London was honoured to host the very first show of Brandi Carlile's solo show.

It was great to hear Brandi's songs again, a great atmosphere and an amazing performance!

We hope to see Brandi and the boys back soon!

p.s. bush hall is HOT, put the fans on and unsteam the mirrors :-)

Superb Amazing, best yet, we have seen Brandi twice before with her band (twins) , this was her 1st solo concert in a little music hall

Monday night's scheduled gig at the Scala may have been delayed by a power cut, but Brandi Carlisle and her band gave a suitably electric performance the following night. Listening to her records gives no hint of just how much they can raise the roof with her rockier songs and yet her remarkable voice was up to the challenge. Every word was clear, and the energy was passed to the audience who responded with joy. During the quieter tracks, the silence in the crowd showed how they were hanging on every note. Usually when new songs are introduced, it is hard to tell if they will meet the standard of earlier recordings, but the five or six from her next album sung on Tuesday seemed to hit home with everyone. The 2 covers played were surprising choices, but I have never heard better versions of Fulsom Prison Blues and Let It Be. All in all my best gig this year, and that includes Springsteen and Neil Young, both of whom I thought were terrific.
