Leeds festival 2009 had to be one of the best weekends of my life.
The combination of such well known artists, as well as up and coming ones was fantastic!
As well as a few suprises including 'Them Crooked Vultures'!!
Sunday was the best day of the weekend, with Fall Out Boy, Kaiser Chiefs and last but certainly not least, Kings Of Leon seeing the weekend out, it was a night not to be missed.
With Kings of Leon doing a set well over an hour and a half, it was better than you would get if you paid to see Kings Of Leon alone, and the collection of songs was brilliant.

Firstly, no-one i spoke to quite understood why Arctic Monkeys headlined above Prodigy, and this was confirmed as a bad decision when Prodigy blew the crowd away and were followed by the Monkeys laclustre performance of new and slow songs, failing to get the crowd going apart from renditions of some of the older faster hits. Kings of Leon were an amazing end to the weekend, and there were a good mix of new talents and a few older more seasoned performers. The organisation of the festival in many ways was altered, and I think most importantly, the new traffic system was a success.

Brilliant weekend, even the weather wasn't too bad this year. Kaiser Chiefs stood out, but The Prodigy not far behind them. Certainly recommend the full weekend ticket so dont miss anything

Really great day, we got to enjoy the Music, and sleep in the nice bed for the night as well by doing the day ticket, but next year I do want to do the weekend...

I really went to see the Arctic's, which where great, but I would have loved them even more if there did a few more of their old songs, but as a whole I couldn't have missed them.

The Prodigy was also out of this world, they rocked, I enjoyed seeing of the different bands I could, a great day, and well worth it.

i would strongly recommend leeds festival to anyone interested in going, as a first time festival goer who was a bit anxious at the prospect of 4 nights in a muddy tent i can safely say i loved every minute

I cant explain how awesome it was
it was ridiculous, i've never had such an overall good weekend in my life.
With bands like The Prodigy, Lost Prophets, YouMeAtSix, and 3Oh!3 just topping it off
no words could describe how happy i am i went.

This was my second year at Leeds festival and will not be my last! It is awesome! saturdays line up was amazing and Radiohead were a fantastic end to the day. Their performance was truly unforgettable! loved it!

Absolutely unbelievable - not music to dance to, purely because you don't need to. Submerse your karma in karma police, allow your conscience to fall into a pleasant sleepiness with nice dream, then wake up only to the driving, synthetic buzz of the national anthem. The other bands? Who were they?

Was mainly a really good day. The NME tent was as usual the best stage with White LIes and The Maccabbees being fantastic. The Main Stage was good although the Arctics were disappointing due to their sound and set list. The festival as usual was a brilliant day despite the alcohol being a bit expensive. To end on a positive the toilets were pretty ok for a festival

always a good festival, 3rd time however was better when it was the carling weekend rather than a festival republic, as festival republic seems more about getting your cash rather than providing value for money.

Was an absolutely fantastic! Jack Whitehall was extremely funny, Enter Shariki were amazing, Courteeners were great, Maximo Park were fab, Prodigy were incredible and last but definitely not least ARCTIC MONKEYS!!

Best festival to date. Music and atmosphere was superb. Bands were amazing and the food was decent. Would definately recommend to anyone even just for the experience and it makes you appreciate your bed and shower a lot more aswell :)
Tips for anyone thinking about 2010 take with you; alot of socks, plenty of wet wipes, a good water proof jacket and pants, sun cream (unpredictable weather) and a thick blanket (it gets very cold at night).

mud + wellies + rain + sun + warm beer + cold nights + camp fires + horrific toilets + tents + mates + new mates + music + junk food = the recipe for the best weekend of the summer.

who could ask for anything more? leeds was definately the highlight of my summer, actually, my year so far.

Very good overall, but the headliners could have been picked better. Kings of Leon have 1 well known song, when the kaiser chiefs have 5-10, so they would have been a much better choice. Radiohead wernt too good but their light show was beyond belief. Prodigy should have headlined, the monkeys are terrible in comparison. Best bands there for me were rise against, fall out boy, the prodigy, and faith no more

Absolutely outstanding, for atmosphere, music, the camping, the people, just everything. I've never had such a buzz, yet been so mellow! Loved being a hippy for a few days just swaying to the music with flowers in my hair and blue face paint (courtesy of oxfam!) Loads of things went wrong such as our tent flooding meaning wet clothes and sleeping bag and not being able to shower but it felt like nothing really mattered as soon as you go and stand infront of the stage and be taken over by the music. A definate must for anyone, ive ordered my 2010 ticket already and am going with my mum and friends!

It was the most amazing week ever!
Had a fun time camping with all my mates even though it did rain a couple of days and the toilets wernt even as bad as usual :)
