Favourite moment: Where to start?! I especially liked the end, where the basket ball game was going on at the same time as the science quiz - very cleverly done. @

Booked tickets for my 2 daughters (ages 4 and 5) as a summer treat, I think i ended up enjoying the show more than they did! It was a brilliant performance, great stage setting, fantastic effects and overall one of the best shows I have seen recently. The characters had us all laughing, singing along and by the end we were dancing by our seats!

This was the first musical theatre that I had taken my 6 year old to and although she started off a little apprehensive she really got in to the swing of it. She didnt fancy the character who played Troy though which she found disappointing. I went expecting to really hate the whole thing but found myself singing along to all the songs that I already knew off by heart after sitting through the film time and time again.
The stage set was very clever by just using the rotation of the lockers to create the scenery.
All the kids were dressed up singing and dancing. Very very impressed and would recommend it to all mums with HSM mad kids ( and that now includes me as a big kid)

My daughter enjoyed this producation and it was a great introduction to theatre for her. It was just the right amount of time for a young audience, about 2 hours.

I can reccommend this to anyone who has children who are High School Musical Fans. The show is a real feel good family show. It is fun and exciting with a fantastic fast paced feel. There is so much going on there is no chance for the kids to get bored. The only negative was that the actor playing Troy was not a strong lead. Fantastic!!!!

HSM was to my dismay disappointing, tickets bought for £50, my daughter (8 years old) and myself drove to Edinburgh excited about her birthday treat. However sound throughout the show was poor, we were in the stalls relatively near the front but couldnt desipher the majority of the script.
The actors were good in fairness and in particular Sharpay, however most of them looked closer to 30 than teenagers. I am sure my daughter didnt notice!
The films are watchable for adults and I can definately see why kids love them but the theatre production was poor, boring to use an unimaginative descriptor. At the very end of the production there was a big bang and streamers, I left feeling there should have been more of that to give it the kick up the derrier that it sorely needed.
i would not recommend this to others and particulary not the young audience the films are aimed at, there were children all around us struggling to maintain there interest hence behaviour, my daughter watched it and seemed to think it was good but her reaction was nothing like it was watching Beauty and the Beast, enough said.
Perhaps the die hard HSM fans will still fall for this production but not us.

We really enjoyed the show but we did think that it was very noisy with the other children in theater this kind spolied the show for us. The cast were very good and i thought that they played the parts very well.
Maybe we will go to the evening show the next time.

High School Musial Live on Stage was a superb family day out. The show was funny and the cast were very good even the american accents weren't that bad. The story line was a little different from the film but they included all the main storylines of the film. My only complaint would be the younger children in audience lost interest at the talking parts and it got a little noisy which isn't fair on the people wanting to watch the whole show not just the singing parts.

My grandaughter thought the show was wonderfull. Please note that if bumper seats are available get one before the shows starts as it allows children to have a clear view.
I was pleasantly surprised at the price of the merchanising, as I expected
to be ripped off. There was a good range of goods with a range of prices.
Be prepared for a lot of screeming children! After all it is a childrens show!

Our two daugthers (age 6 and 4) loved this and were kept entertained throughout, particularly in the second half. Although the musical was good our entertainment was spoilt by some of the audiance who's children were obviously not enjoying it as much. There was a lot of crowd noise, children crying, moaning and just generally playing up. Where I would have taken my children away to as not spoil other peoples veiwing, other people were not quite so considerate. I would also comment that the Edinburgh playhouse could do with using some of the money it is making from hosting these shows to clean up the seats. There was a very musty smell which was coming up from the carpets and the hygiene wasn't brilliant in toilets etc as well. But we came to see the show and thats why we've given it 4 stars.

I orginially was going because I got my wee niece tickets for her Birthday but me and her Mum loved it too. The music was brilliant. Most of the kids there was dressed up, including my two nieces. However we couldn't let them get away with having all the fun! We had hand-made "I love Troy t-shirts" with matching necklace! Great day out for all the family!

gr8 show, was sitting near the back of the theatre, and found it a bit hard to hear voices when talking, they could have cranked up the mics a bit. apart from that could not fault the production, or the singers/dancers. gr8 catchy songs and costumes were lovely
