Go see him - he's creative, intelligent and bizarre not to mention the huge array of instruments and noises that come from his fingertips! Clearly he loves what he does and it was an evening well spent.

What a great night out.
Bill Bailey is not only very funny but amazingly talented.
With a mixture of comment, hilarious views on current affairs and a musical twist with his own compilations and talented musical performances.
He engaged the audience well which added a unique flavour to the standard material.
Well worth seeing

Having seen Bill Bailey on different game shows and a couple of comedy specials I thought I knew what to expect but how wrong I was. It was a constant fast pace throughout interspersed with musical moments. At times my husband was doubled over with laughter, at others it took some time to get it. I would definitely recommend this show to anyone who has a quirky sense of humour.

Jokes are great - but revealing how the oboe section of a piece of chamber music is actually the Bee Gees' How Deep is Your Love is just that much more satisfying. With the full BBC concert orchestra there, plus various rarely seen instruments, you could see how much work had been put into this show. Yet Bailey also remains the master of the bizarre ad lib and worked brilliantly even with the huge O2 audience. He's also an extremely talented musician. This was an utterly captivating evening.

Bottom line is this was a good show and if you're a Bill Bailey fan or enjoy slightly surreal comedy then you'll enjoy this.
Personal I would have prefered a bit more about the Orchestra and how it works and a bit less goofing about by Bill. That said, it was a Bill Bailey show so what did I expect :-)
Good fun!
The BBC orchestra were entertaining in their own right and supported Bill brilliantly.
First time I've visited the O2 (last time I was there was 2000 at the millenium expo). Great venue. One critisism worth noting for music concerts ... we were sat at the top on one side about halfway to the back and there was an annoying echo from the back wall. I've noticed the same at other venues when sat in comparable seats. Advice, book early and avoid those seats.

Im a big fan of bill bailey and have watched all of his great dvds of his live shows before. That was the only problem with the show though... alot of the material he used and the songs involved were ones he has used/did before on previous shows! Yes its great hearing them again and being able to sing along but i asumed it was going to be mostly new material.
That said, it was great to see him live and the orchestra was brilliant to watch. It's a great show and very funny with many great moments. Just wished for new materal.
Also note, it was my first time at the o2 arena. I got there early and ate dinner. Found my ticket entrance easy enough and they allowed plenty of time before the show started for people to find there seats and buy drinks/food. Was a really well run event and i have already booked to go back to the o2 for other shows!

Was a fantastic idea. Could have been executed with better precision, although Bill is more off the cuff than precise! Which is why we love him, and what a pianist!
It was great to hear each part of the orchestra and the roles they have in theme type music and incidental fills for TV etc.
He seemed a little lost in the O2 at times but pulled through for a really enjoyable evening.

I thought that the show was very disappointing. I haven't seen Bill Bailey before but have heard good things from friends but he definitely didn't live up to it. The show wasn't funny at all and definitely not worth the £50 I paid per ticket. The only good thing about the show was the orchestra which was great.

From the surreal Zathustran entrance to the upstanding encore, Bill Bailey's remarkable guide to the Orchestra is a unique experience. Over two hours the lovable fuzzy comedian introduces us to members of the London Concert Orchestra in his customary affable rambling manner, at times taking a turn on an instrument or three himself. The performance is enlightening, interesting and above all, fun. Bailey paints pictures with the music - a country picnic invaded by wasps, scenes from a seventies cop show, flight of the er, jellyfish, accompanied by his very able colleagues who display a sense of humour and fun far removed from the usual staidness of the concert hall. Go see it and be prepared to laugh, clap and hum silly snatches all the way home.

This is not a normal, Bill Bailley - Laugh every 10 seconds - show. However, once you adjust to the fact that it is based on music (played by a wonderful BBC Orchestra) with comedy built in, it is every bit as entertaining as you wold expect from the quality, quirky entertainer. (if not more so).
He teaches about all the different instruments in the Orchestra, while making this extremely funny by working in Orchestral Adverts and TV shows form yesteryear - along with the usual quips and cynical views.
It was so informative yet fun, I would take my young Children to see it, so they could learn how an orchestra works without it being "cissy".
You do find yourself falling about laughing sometimes but also moved and admiring at other times by the sheer skill of the musicians (including bill himself), and the beauty of some of the music.
Highlights are:
- the cockney version of famous classical pieces.
- the Swan by Rachmaninov (you would know it if you heard it) played on about 30 cowbells by 3 percussionists and Bailley running back and forward playing the odd one. Must have taken a massive amount of practise and reminiscent of a Morcambe and Wise type sketch - brilliant.
- Bailley's Rock Opera about Insects taking over the Earth.
- The 70's Cop show music with story narrated by Bailley.
A deffinite to see. You won't see anything like this anywhere!

Absolutely fantastic performance from Bill Bailey et al. I have never had an interest in classical music before but I now have so much respect for it. It was remarkable to see such a talented orchestra play live, something you simply couldn’t match with a CD or record. With Bill Baileys humour, interesting insights/ideas on life and unbelievable music made it a night to remember. I hope for a Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra 2.

This was a very entertaining show, very clever in places and with tears of laughter in others, this was a surprise birthday outing and each of my family said how much they had enjoyed the show. The only let down was the queue for the ladies toilets at the interval, not what I would expect at such a modern venue.

We eagerly anticipated going to see Bill Bailey. My husband particularly likes him and finds him very funny on the various programmes we have seen him on.
We arrived at the O2, this was our first visit to the arena, and found our seats which we were very pleased with. Good view of the stage.
We sat through the first half of the show and not wanting to sound negative as I had only gone to see the show because my husband likes him, I did not make any comment. However, my husband commented that he was disappointed with the first half and didn't find it as funny as he had expected. Sadly the second half was no funnier and we both left the show feeling very disappointed that we had not seen the humour that we were so familiar with from seeing Bill on the TV. We felt that the £110 it had cost us for the tickets was not worth the experience.
