Having seen Gary earlier in the year this was a far more intimate gig and coming at the end of a long tour it was evident that being back in his home town enabled him to relax and enjoy himself.
3 encores and some fab solos made a great night out, would recommend to any blues rock fan

Favourite moment: "2- Pretty Woman and as always Parisienne Walkways- both completely different but both breathtaking. @

Opening act(s): Two young blokes - 1 with a banjo and 1 with acoustic guitar- what is the point with someone like GM waiting? @

Gary opened up with Pretty Woman and it set the tone for the night- searing guitar solos and magical fingerwork. His voice was even better than the gig a few weeks back in Bournemouth.
Brilliant performance - 1 hour and 45 minutes of breathless guitar work and real blues at it's best.

Excellent performance and Gary played the guitar like a God. As an audience you can feel every single note and sound right through to the fingertips.
Gary's guitar playing resembles a firework of sounds with a brilliant crescendo at the end of every piece which is a climax of Gary's feel for the blues.
He gave his all and a little more at this gig and I can't wait to see him at his next performance !!!!
Simply the BEST for me !!!!!

Gary Moore is amazing on guitar, and has tons of stage presence, the only disappointment for me was that he only played 2 of his more well known songs and they got the biggest response from the crowd which just goes to show he could have played more of his older repetoire for the sake of his audience. But to be fair to him you can't fault his pure talent and the songs he played were all amazing anyway.

First time I've ever been to Shepherd's Bush Empire. I can thoroughly recommend the venue. Great view and great sound. Mr. Moore played for a good 2 hours. The last time I caught him live was in 1982. He was just as good now as he was then. I especially enjoyed the number where the support act joined him on stage. I cannot remember his name but their lead guitarist is one to watch out for in the future.

What a gig
Gary Moore at his finest. A real treat of a show. I can't believe it's taken me this long to get out and see this maestro play. If you're a fan of slick and spectacular guitar playing, topped off with a blues pedigree that is second to none then this is a show for you.

Fantastic venue for an amazing artiste. The light show and sound was incredible and Gary,s guitar playing was absolutely flawless. Played all the expected songs like, still got the blues and parisianne walkways to perfection. A great performer and showman to whom I would recommend everybody that likes the blues go see him.

The Event was to put it mildly RUBBISH,After have subjecting myself to the opening act(someone taylor)whom I could neither hear or understand in any form.Mr Moore graced us with his presence about 40 minutes later.
Starting with some amazing guitar work it seem to then go on with all four members of the group competing for the, who can make the loudest noise with Mr moore shouting into the microphone,
My freind and promtly left after the fifth set.
Mr G Moore is and will be an admired guitarist, but I personaly will not purchase tickets
for any further venues and will sit and listen to studio recording which show off his guitar playing as it should be heard.

Gary Moore is simply brilliant - his hands should be a national treasure. I am new to his music and was completely bowled over. The venue was great - still small enough to be part of the experience. The only down side was the 40 minute wait between the end of the support act and the commencement of Gary's performance. Way too long and someone needs to get their act together on it

Firstly, Shepherds Bush Empire, what a great venue although £3.90 for a can of Strongbow was a bitt OTT. Gary Moore has to be up there with the best guitarists ever! Hadn't actually realised until I heard him live just how good he really is. Some of the intro's and endings were a bit drawn out and you found yourself wishing he would just get onto the next song. Dunno what was wrong with the sound set-up but the music drowned out his singing - which I supposed isn't necessarily an altogether bad thing as it's certainly not his strong point! All-in-all a great evening and a very very talented musician.

last nite we witnessed a guitar masterclass. I had seen Gary before with Lizzy years ago and have recently watched the Phil Lynott tribute dvd, which was mindblowing. There was a touch too much volume for the bass for the first 2 numbers, but after that....awesome. He came back for two encores, the second playing Parisienne walkways which is always a crowd pleaser.. Great set, although i wished he would have done some more of the 'old' tunes. Will definately see him live again. I thaught it was great how he got the support act to play with him on stage for a number......you don't see that very often!!!

Went to the O2 acadamy at shepherds bush and watched Gary Moore, the event was mostly attended by middle aged blokes, started at 7-30 with Otis Taylor, great artist, then a 45 minute wait for Gary Moore, he played his guitar, the drummer the drums and some other guys were there too. they played music. seven bars and a cosy atmoshpere make this a phantastic venue, the guiness was very good too.

Absolutely brilliant performance from Gary and his band. Musicianship at its zenith, they don't come any better than this. Set list was perfect mix of new and old. Hearing Gary is one thing but seeing him perform takes it to a whole new level. I would recommened anyone to go and see him. Hurry back to Aberdeen, you're always welcome here. His son also appeared in the encore - no slouch on the guitar either!
