Featured Review

Having seen Russell Howard on Mock the Week numerous times I thought I would take the plunge and see how his own material matched up. I was not disappointed.

The crowd were already well into the swing of things due to his excellent support act but once the main act was in full flow there wasn't a glum face in the house. His material was a wee bit more edgy than on the telly but he never used this to make up for any lack of intelligence in his humour.

The night was made even better by the impromptu meet and great set up in the lobby after the gig where I got to meet Russell to have a small chat and nab a photo of the man himself. All in a great nights entertainment and I look forward to seeing his career develop.

Russell Howard, complete with his special needs friendprovided a fantastic evenings entertainment. When Howard came on, the pace of his delivery ensured everyone was kept on the edge of their seats, with the laughs nearly making you fall off. This show is highly recommended, and his live show eclipses all of his TV work. Must be seen live to appreciate fully.

It was a quality night. Totally worth going to see him but he took forever to come on. It was my first stand-up gig so maybe all decent acts open doors at 6.30pm but don't actually appear til 9pm. I was a little disappointed at that but loved the show itself.

When i came all the way from Blackpool to see Russel Howard i was tired and worn out. But the gig itself was full of energy and was hilarious which boosted me up. The support act was also very good and i am pleased that i have lucky had the chance to see both comidians as i enjoyed this gig greatly and would indefinately go and see Russel Howard again with his usual cheeky jokes and his lively proformances. I am only sixteen but have been following Russel Howard as an upcoming comidian for many many years and i must say seeing his gig was the highlight of this. I am hoping to get a little closer to the stage next time as i was not in the best of seats, for his next tour.

i personally had a fantastic time, my parents got a little bit embarrassed by some of the jokes and for that reason you would probably have to be a student or older to enjoy it fully. the snow delayed him a little but then the support act came on and it was a fantastic time, Russell was as good as ever and everyone had a great time.
the only problem i had was the venue. the press and journal hall wasn't that nice to be seated in and was very bare in terms of modern theatre commodities. despite the less-than-satisfactory seating arrangements, it was still a highly enjoyable occasion and i would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Russell's comedy styles, however i would suggest that you research the venue first to see what it's like before the day

Russell Howard was fantastic! Lots of belly laughs. Some quite blue times which I felt were not always necessary.

Would definitely recommend and will certainly be going to see him again

Didn't think he was going to be as funny as when he is on the panel shows but this was a great night. The topics drift about but he never forgets where the material is meant to be at. Never been to a comedy gig where so many women screamed for the host though!

His act was amazingly funny! There were some pieces which were on his good news shows but he cant be expected to make up everything new. I highly recommend him to people who enjoy his show and sense of humour as he had me in stitches!

From the moment he stepped on the stage, he had the audience in pleats, he oozed both charisma and energy that was infectious and mind altering. I was with a Russle cynic and he couldn't help but laugh out loud, even against what he would class as his better judgement.

Absolutley amazing

The warm up act wasn't bad either.

Russell was absolutely fantastic, I laughed so much it hurt! Brilliant improv,and the cake fight was hysterical. Surprisingly I really enjoyed the warm up act as well, very rare to have a good warm up comedian. Brilliant night, if you haven't seen him go!
