When RC first burst on the scene 20 odd years ago, no-one could believe how such a young man could play, sing and write such freshness into the Blues genre.
Today, at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, while age takes a toll on us all, he looks leaner and fitter and his playing, singing and general performance was impeccable. He is totally possessed by the music on stage and has such an array of rhythms & phrasing, no-one else can match him. His new songs are fresh and innovative. Nice to see he still sticks to clean Fender Strats and can still wring sounds out of them with just his fingers like no other. Excellent drummer & bassist too.
As for the venue, rapidly going off the place. It's too sterile and the Photo-Police ruin the event, prowling up and down like predators. Who begrudges a photo for the memory - no Artist would, it's part and parcel of the job and fans are important! Hence, I have none to share :(
As for support act, AFL should stick to life as a backing rhythm guitarist, or maybe take up trumpet-playing, as he sure blew his a lot. But then he had to, his performance was weak. Talk about 'singing' through gritted teeth! ....12 years of playing with EC and he can't phrase or stop string buzzing!

Favourite moment: When Robert said a bit more about a songs' introduction apart from the usual "Like this.."
Pugh's face-pulling was pretty funny too :D @
Setlist: Strong Persuader, Bad Accusations, One in the Middle stood out for me @
Opening act(s): Andy Fairweather-Low @
