I went witht my 5 year old daughter and friends, we loved it. Generally well organised, helpful staff, great music etc etc. However BIG MOAN re the lighting of the wickerman. This is billed as a family friendly festival. My daughter stayed up for the lighting of the Wickerman as billed as 10.30-11-pm. By midnight it still hadn't been lit, there were exhausted children nodding all over the place and fractious parents stressing. I had to give up well after midnight and carry my sleepy and tear stricken daughter all the way back to the tent. She didn't even see the fireworks. Why o why o why don't you light the wickerman as soon as it is dark enough (10pm at the latest?) so the kids can go to bed and the grown ups party on down? Competing with the main act seems ludicrous and actually ended up spoiling the zutons for me,.

First timer to this festival. Took both my teenage son and my eight year old daughter and we ALL loved it. Thanks guys. Great organisation and cool atmosphere (the weather helped for a change). However, PLEASE try to improve on the food otherwise next time I'll have to bring my own!

Once again The Dangleberries took to the stage and set the Festival of Fire, well, on fire, just the best way to get you dancing barefoot in a field, all over again!!!!!!!!!

We were lucky with the weather. The music was fantasic, espcially The Magic Numbers, The Human League and the The Zutons (and Candi Staton). Shame Luva Anna were up against Headliners - We love you!!! The kids had a fantastic time too with plenty for them to enjoy as well as the bands!! Don't pay more for family camping as there was LOUD music from the Bass Camp 'til 5am!!! (Kids slept through it!!!?!**!)

What an amazing festival, one that is great for the family and everything is reasonable price. Utah Saints were out of this world.

This was my first wickerman experience and overall it was good one, nice setting and layout, decent facilities and all that, but the disappointment was the quality of the bands. I was excited to see Billy Bragg and intrigued to see the Human League, but apart from that had come along with the hope of discovering at least one or two good new bands or folk artists. Pursuing this aim however ended up in wandering between different stages to see what felt like a constant stream of mediocrity. A major bug-bear was also the incessant loud thud of the bass tent in the background, almost drowing out the more quiet moments on the main stage.
My advice would be that the wickerman festival is great if you are either not that fussed about the music and happy watching most things, or you have checked out the line-up in advance to make sure there are a good half a dozen things on that you know you will like.

We had a wonderful time at the Wickerman Festival. This was quite a small festival but big on talent. The Human League were so nostalgic. They had us all singing along knowing all the words and bringing back so many old memories. The Magic numbers were fab. I've seen them four times and they never fail to wow me. Bad manners had the Scooter tent bouncing and young and old doing the same. Dreadzone were fantastic. There were too many great bands to mention. We certainly had a great time and are definately going back next year. Oh and forgot to mention the burning of the Wickerman at midnight. The whole arena went quiet as the Wickerman was set alight and the fireworks were lovely. It was worth seeing.

First time at Wickerman and had a great time. The size of the festival compared to the larger ones such as T in the Park made it much more enjoyable and there was a good mix of people. Heard a number of new bands to follow up on. The site was very well run and the campsite crew did a good job of keeping the site clean and tidy.

This was the best Wickerman yet for me! It was helped by my lovely friends, including the Bad Panda (Erik) I think he must be in hundreds of photos from this weekend.
Good points:
The fantastic sculpture and fireworks.
The people
The weather
The bands
The Campsite and toilets
The access and egress from the parking
The food
The coffee trader inside with proper coffee.
Bad points:
Gormless Brothers breakfast wagon, especially on the sunday with no roof in the pouring rain and only one lad serving, one lad cooking and two useless girls moving things around to look like they weren't useless, but just making them look moreso.
The black pudding from the above. I am sure it isn't supposed to be crunchy.
The cinema. It was too small and in a tent.

I really enjoyed this festival , I normally go to T in the park but didnt go this year instead took my 7 year old boy to this one and he also really enjoyed it . Only thing is the music not really up my street apart from Bad Manners were really good. Would def recommend to anyone and is very child friendly would be a good family weekend.
