Favourite moment: Every new song was a favourite moment but her rendition of Que Sera was special and I also loved Closer. @

I feel so priveleged to have been at Corinne's first gig since the release of her new album The Sea and the concert was absolutely fantastic.
Corinne sings like and angel and she and her band are a perfect fit. Her love of her music and what she does radiates through her and her voice and performance seem effortless.

I'd like to start of by saying, that I have never been to a concert like this before.
I'm used to seeing artists of the fist pumping, arse shaking kind. (not that those things were not acceptable last night) But you know what I mean right? I mean, i'm used to coming home drenched in sweat, without the ability to speak above a whisper due to the fact that I had been screaming inharmoniously along to my favourite songs all night, etc.
But this was different.
I was lucky enough to grab one of the last unreserved standing tickets, and got to the venue early enough to stand right at the front, which meant that I had a spectacular view of the stage (although my feet did begin to ache after a while...wear comfortable shoes if you have these tickets!)
But anyway, last night? I was mesmerised. I'm not even exaggerating.
From the moment Corinne and her amazingly talented band (particularly the male guitarist/vocalist and the drummer) stepped out on stage, I was transfixed. I remember standing there, swaying along to Corinne and her band's interpretation of "Que sera, sera" and thinking to myself, slightly choked up, "this is so powerful", which is something i've never felt at a concert before. It was pretty evident that she put a lot into the show, and during "Like A Star" tears were rolling down her face, which touched me, and no doubt the rest of the audience.
Another of my favourite songs from the night was her take on "I only have eyes for you" [the flamingos' version]. She actually said at the end of the song that she'd always wanted an excuse to perform it, and her and her band did it justice.
I'm not saying that this was the best concert I've ever been to, but it was different and refreshing to actually feel the music I was listening to, rather than trying to drown out the artist with my "superior" knowledge of his/her lyrics.
A definite must see!
(Oh, and if you're a fan of The Guillemots, Fyfe Dangerfield is the support act, he was pretty great too)
