Favourite moment: the back up singers dancing, from the front row i was a bit distracted. @

The deano actor sounded good singing, however impersonating a star isn't his strong point. The acting was lacking any energy to point it was almost boring on stage when there was no singing.......confirmed by the excitement and interest when an audience phone went off. I saw this chap in the London show maybe 4years ago and loved every minute of that, but i'm afraid on his own he is no showman.
The Nat King Cole chap, well i don't mean to sound harsh......but in no way did he resemble Nat, not in singing, talking or acting.
The back up singers were good, and a welcome distraction.

The show was full of energy and fun. The songs were well sung and fun to sing along to. 'Dean Martin' and 'Nat King Cole' really made the whole evening a pleasure, thank you.

Overall the show was a bit flat. Mark Adams was entertaining as usual, and the 'Gold diggers' were very good. However, overall it seemed to lack a little lustre. The sound quality was poor at times as the microphones seemed to miss the ocaisional word or two.

Proof that top-drawer entertainment can be found outside of tabloid t.v. and plastic pop-stars. This was a nostalgic trip back to the sixties, when entertainers relied on real talent and were not just 'famous for being famous' ! No gimmicks and gadgets here.
This was live music, dance and comedy for grown-ups which reached a consistently high level from the off, and made me feel that it should have kept on going.
It is hard to imagine how anyone could sound more like the original Dean, and the excellent Mark Adams was brilliantly supported by Nat and the beautiful,multi-talented 'Gold-diggers'.
What pleasure to hear quality live music from the Barry Robinson Orchestra.
I want to see this show again.

The whole show was highly polished ,great performances from all ,loved the Goldiggers
I am too young for this era but love it love it love .Every bit as good as the rat pack shows . It was a shame theatre was only half full perhaps cheaper ticket prices are called for in recession ! Took my mom she loved it and recognised every song . The Alex is a good theatre .

Super show, came out singing. Brought back happy memories of Dean. Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime was a favourite song played endlessly at home. Fun show, good feelgood entertainment.

My brothers and I have seen Mark Adams perform in the Rat Pack in the West End a few times and That's Amore at Dartford two years ago. We went down to Eastbourne to see it the week before last. He is a fantastic performer. We think that That's Amore can be good when there's a good crowd in. He is good at jokes, and we like the Nat King Cole but we think that the other support artists are a bit weak. Petula Clark seemed to be miming and we just don't like the Shirley Maclaine, Peggy Lee is good but boring. Must agree with the way the dancers look a bit cheap and tarty, and do the band have to be on stage We like Mark and the Nat guy though.

Really enjoyed the whole performance, However due to a small audience I felt the atmosphere was some what lacking. this was in no way down to the performers who were excellent.

Although the idea for the show was good the reality was not so good. the show was based around a television show hosted by Dean Martin, with special guests Nat King Cole, Peggy Lee, Shirley McLaine & Petula Clarke.
The actor playing Dean Martin has a good voice and when he just "sang the song" he was good. the problem was that he was trying to crack jokes and they were poor. It didn't need the so called humour in between the songs.
Nat King Cole was very good. The 3 backing singers were not so good. The production was obviously low budget as their outfits were very cheap looking.
The band was good.
Overall I would class the show as ok. It would be an improvement if it was more concert style - just singing.

Mark Adams really was Dean with looks , actions and singing just like him . I thought he was very good but so were the Gold Diggers and their individual spots . But I'm thinking ' Nat King Cole' could outshine them all . I think 'Dean' and 'Nat sing well together. It was a shame more of Bristol did not turn out for the show.
