The Arctic Monkeys where very very good when i went to see them and i also liked Eagles of Death Metal who performed really well. I have 2 flaws with the Arctic Monkeys concert= They didnt do enough of the old things that got them famous like where was mardy bum and he didnt interact with the crowd enough sure that might not be his thing but he needed to get us going. On a whole they were very good and i would recomend this to anyone.

Got two tickets for my brother's 21st and could really take or leave the Artic Monkeys before seeing them live. On seeing them live I loved them and would recommend them highly to anyone who has liked what they have heard of them so far!!! But try and get standing if you like a dance!!

Enjoyed the gig and the atmosphere and sound was excellent considering the size of the NIA.
The only problem for me with the Arctic's live act is that they find it cool to drop out their best songs in preference to playing some of the minor album tracks. I find this a real frustration and for me it sets them miles behind Kasabian in the live act stakes now because they turn up and put a real show on that the fans want to see.

After reading several unfavourable reviews online about recent Arctic Monkeys concerts, i wasn't quite looking forward to the gig, and it didn't help that i had the bus ride from Hell on the way to the concert. However all that was turned around as soon as they came onstage :) Oh My!! They were absolutely incredible!! I'm quite ashamed of myself for listening to the bad reviews and going to the concert with certain expectations!

What more can I say except - Brilliant!
Created an excellent atmosphere with great stage lighting.
Initially I was unsure about the support act but they helped to build the atmosphere and were great.

It is not that Artic Monkeys were poor, or that they performed an uninspiring set. But as a bend that built themselves on their strong lyrics, social criticism and intimate yet fresh albums one actually sits down to listen; the audience that turned up to see them at the MEN Arena seemed to have missed all of these points. In fact, the mostly wasted and agressive crowd would not have been out of place in one of Alex's lyrics. For their bit, Artic Monkeys went through the motions and made all the right noises. But I can't help but feel that their heart was not really in it. Perhaps they should go back to playing smaller venues. But then again those fat pay cheques must be hard to refuse...

I loved every minute of this gig. I thought the start was great with Dance Little Liar and it never dropped below this level.
I think the band have grown up a lot and the direction of the music shows this. I admittedly love their first two albums, and prefer them to their third but, at the same time the band couldn't keep making the same type of songs forever. I personally thought that all the new stuff sounded better live and the classics got the crowd going. When the sun goes down was special as it led to a mass sing-a-long and the encore was great.
Although I was happy to be in the seated area as the standing area looked horrible. Beer was being thrown everywhere and some people were a bit out of control. This led to Alex Turner telling them to calm down a few times but, it had no impact on the quality of the event.
I would definitely go to see them again and enjoyed every part of their show. I couldn't stand the Opening Act, Eagles of Death Metal. Their bassist looked like Heston Blumenthal and their music just didn't appeal to me in the slightest.

I only arrived an hour ealry which i thought was risky after previous gigs having to que for atleast 3 hours to get a good spot . arrive and only was about 40 other people and me and my best friend ended up FRONT ROW . a few people had told me arctic monkeys werent expected to be good live but as my fav band i still sided to go along and WOOOOW it was so worth it , completely the best gig i have ever been to. Alex Turner was just brilliant infact words dont come close to how amazing he truly was , ive waited about 4 years to go because of the age limit and it was deffinatly worth the wait . ANYONE if your a fan or not if you get the oppitunity GO .

Really good gig, good set with a mix of old and new song and also some popular b-sides.
Crowd was pretty crazy at the start and the band had to stop playing aout 3 times while people were lifted up from the floor near the front.

Never come across a worse crowd in over 25 years of going to gigs! Pint throwing was out of control, shoes were being chucked at the band. Were any of them actually watching the band or too busy smoking and falling over blind drunk. SECC security need to grow a pair and deal with them while they are getting tanked up in the tunnel before the gig!! Must have been a fair few hangovers in schools across Glasgow on Wednesday morning.
Technically the Monkeys were pretty good live, but the constant stopping mid song for crowd control ruined the night and what was with the random exploding confetti?

Fantastic live set from alex, matt, jamie and nick. I had been gearing up for it, for about two months and they did not disappoint. In fairness the secc isnt the best venue in sound quality but arctic monkeys proved that they can perform sensationally anywhere. The only letdown came when 3 separate songs were halted by security, i believe it was crowd trouble maybe, people being crushed, but you cannot hold alex and the lads responsible for that. The frontman dealt with these setbacks incredibly well, trying to control the crowd, and picking up their spirits by breaking into i bet you look good on the dancefloor. Overall i enjoyed every second, from the opener dance little lair, to closing with 505,tremendous.i was even given a surprise when alex sang when the sun goes down, not expected, and the verse of mardy bum in the middle of fluorescent adolescent. Cannot speak highly enough of the arctic monkeys, will be seeing them again soon hopefully, just brilliant!

Arctic Monkeys confirmed themselves as one of the true great bands of this generation. They played as tight as they have ever done. sang all of new album humbug except for 2 songs (Dangerous Animals and Fire n the thud). The songs that were sang from the new album were immense including "dirty little liar" which they opened with. Fans were a little quiet for some of their new stuff but it mostly got a resounding response, especially "the jewellers hand" which is an absolutely cracking song. Highlights from their other 2 albums included "i bet you look good....", "when the sun goes down", "a view from the afternoon", and "fluorescent adolescent", which was mixed in with "mardy bum". Major highlight of the night was "505" from a favourite worst nightmare. I personally was a little disappointed they didn't play "fire and the thud" and "a certain romance"
