Despite the rain, it couldn't dampen the atmosphere of the stadium. What a perfect way to support the athletes before heading off to the Olympics. The highlight had to be Mo Farah when everyone stood up and gave him a standing ovation on his final lap. I'm an athlete myself and am such a fan of athletics, so may be a bit bias, but Im sure everyone of any interest ad background would have agreed that it was amazing.

The Aviva London Grand Prix is always a great weekend, whatever the weather! Top athletes giving it everything. Being part of a crowd screaming their support for the likes of athletes such as the great Mo Farah, Greg Rutherford and Carmelita Jeter, to name a few, is a real thrill. We will definitely be back for more next year!!

Only the second time I had been to a meeting like this, the first was at Gateshead about 10 years ago. Really enjoyed it and went both on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon sitting in the same seat. Enjoyed the fact that there was action going on all the time with sometimes three events taking place at the same time. Decided to go to this as I knew I had no chance with Olympics tickets. Am now going to the meeting at Birmingham on 26th August 2012.

A fantastic evening that even the damp conditions couldn’t spoil. The whole event was a pleasure to be at with world class athletes showing just what we can expect at the upcoming London Olympics. Would advise everybody whether they are athletics fans or not to attend in the future because they will enjoy the experience.

First time at athletics - really enjoyed it, the pace of the event, fact so much going on at once and good seats in Jubilee Stand. Also good to see big stars turn out so close to Olympics.
Only downside is going into Crystal Palace station afterwards. You are not allowed to touch in with your Oyster card which means when you reach your destination you are overcharged. Our four-person party was charged nearly £10 too much in total - only got money back after two long phone calls and a lot of hassle.

It was excellent shame Idowu did not jump though, only thing it was freezing but that sums britain up.
Food was nasty though had chicken ciabatta and it cost £6.00 and it was rubbish.

This is the third time I've been to CP for the diamond league. It's good value and provides over four hours of constant sport. Unable to secure Olympic tickets, this was our mini Olympics and we got to see many of the top athletes. We went on Friday evening too so saw everyone from Mo Farah to Sally Pearson. The rain did all it could to spoil the show - and it did absolutely pour - but despite this we really enjoyed ourselves and stayed to the end. My own complain was the food - unspeakably bad and very expensive. I will make sure I bring my own next time. And also the big screen which wasn't quite big enough to read the results.

Attended the friday evening Viva Diamond Athletics event. Despite the wet start ( luckily in the Jubillee stand so out of the rain) , it was an excellent opportunity to see world famous athletes compete against each other just before the London Olympics, for which I didn't get tickets for the Olympic Stadium. The facilities food etc are very basic and need upgrading but it is my third year at Crystal Palace, so they are not that important, as it is the sport that is reason for going.

Despite the rain and mud the afternoon was enjoyable with my daughter. Good seats although I would have preferred to be under cover rather than getting wet in the East stand.
I particularly enjoyed watching my countryman Kirani James win the 400 meters. I also loved the relay.

This is the 4th year I've been to see the grand prix. The atmosphere is terrific. The schedule is kept to with complete precision. My 10 year old enjoyed the pre event activities and the event itself.

Although the day resembled October, cold, damp and windy, the quality of the Athletics on show was exceptional. Goldie Sayers' British Javelin record was the highlight along with the sensational Christine Ohuruogu grabbing the finale with a last ditch win in the 400m.
Apart from queueing in the rain for the station, 6 platforms to choose from but still rather confusing where to go, it was an enjoyable afternoon. At £11 per ticket, this is definitely a bargain. Make a note for your diary for 2013. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

Great meeting - shame about the weather, which was appalling. Loads of events, loads of stars, good view of big screen and could almost see the finish line without the screen. All in all enjoyable day. thanks Aviva, Crystal Palace, athletes and everyone else involved.
