I thought it was an enjoyable evening of entertainment. It was a specially themed night reviewing the topical news events of recent times. The substantial line up of 6 comedians also included Andy Parsons (The latest comic to get that vital TV break!!)
The comedy at times was completely improvised, with the audience regularly asked to contribute to the construction of humour. At times there were controversial statements made on stage, but i believe great comedy should split opinion and challenge our belief system. There were original compositions on guitar and after over 2 hours, i left the venue more than satisfied, grinning all the way home. In times like this, we need to sit back, relax and LAUGH!!!!

Was pleasantly surprised to see Paul Merton on the night as I didn't know who was playing. Show was hilarious, but I have to say that Paul Merton seemed a little distracted throughout the show, it was his fellow comedians that made it so funny.

Paul Merton was his usual quick witted self and a perfect foil for Lee Simpson and Neil Mullarkey.

First time at the Comedy Store so wasn't sure what to expect but had a great night listening to some impressive comedians. The comedy was based more on improvisation than practised sets which was a nice change. Drinks were cheap (for London), the atmosphere was relaxed and the comedians were funny - all in all a great night! Will definitely be visiting again

What a geat night out! Reasonably priced, thoroughly god fun led by intelligent wits. Fantastic. Only downside - the execrable Merlot on offer: admittedly inexpensive but I would happily have paid more for a more acceptable quaff.

Our group varied in age from 19-57 years and we all had a great evening. Just what was needed - a good laugh at all the things that usually wind us up.

Rarely get a poor comedian on this topical show. Took a friend who hadn't been before and he was already talking about booking tickets for another show in the near future. Performers always look like they're enjoying themselves which promotes a good atmosphere.

Hilarious, all comedians were first class and had us laughing from start to finish. Drinks, reasonably priced & happy hour from 6.30-7.30 was an added bonus. Highly reccommend.

Despite the absence of Paul Merton (illness), this was an amazing night. If you have seen "Whose line is it anyway!" than it's easy to tell you what the whole evening was about. For those who have not seen it - think improvisation with the input from the audience.
The one set in which one of the guys tried to guess an occupation (a guy who makes contact lenses for chicken that count goats that jump higher than 3 feet in order to collect carbon) was a bit too long but still fun.
I had a great laugh especially during the the biblical story about the june-nipper bush (free adaptation on the birth of jesus)

A seconfd visit did not to be as outstandingf as the first when Paul Merton and Josie Laurence and a couple of other big characters were in the line-up.
Similar formular to last time but the perfomances were not that strong and the evening seemed to fade towrds theend.
Havingf said all that, it was stil an enjoyable, funny and good value evening.

I booked tickets for the Comedy Store Players Improvisation Show on 20th December as a surprise for my husband's birthday, and frankly, if you weren't there, you missed a treat!
The show was fast paced, irreverant, hilarious, inspired and a punch-in-the-stomach laugh-a-minute fest! The ability of the Comedy Store players to think on their feet and exceed every expectation cannot be overstated - go and see them and take your friends with you - you will not be disappointed!
