This was 90 minutes of very frantically paced comedy, with a decent amount of audience participation - within the first two minutes one man had been carted off in a padlocked trunk and another accused, after a brief interrogation, of being a criminal.
The gags are delivered with enthusiasm and skill. A brand new show with entirely original material (nothing recycled from the TV panel shows at all), Lee openly admitted that some parts had been cut out of the routine as the tour progressed as they just weren't making people laugh.
It was refreshing to see an act that wasn't entirely comedy of the observational variety, and I couldn't recommend Lee Mack enough. And if you're a fan of the 'Not Going Out' programme - yes, a further series has been commissioned.
