I think Kasabian deserve a special award for the amazing performance they gave at Wembley Arena on 14th November. This was my first gig at the Arena and what a gig it was. I have seen Kasabian before at Glastonbury and loved them then, but this was on another level.
The set was decent and well organised as the theme was based on their new album Lunatic Asylum. The crowd was absolutely buzzing for the whole during of the performance and the fact everyone was still singing the corus of LSF for over half an hour after the set finished, shows the appreciation Kasabian fans have for their music.
It was evident Kasabian gave it their all and the atmosphere in the crowd was simply electric as dancing, moshing, singing just didn't stop. The set was well planned too as the first half consisted mainly their new songs, then finished of with all the usual crowd pleasers. They really showed their true talent in the diversity of the music they create as every song came across as original and unique - and unlike other bands (such as the Arctic Monkeys), their songs can be differentiated from one another.
All in all, it was a superb night and I hadn't had so much fun in ages. I would love to see them again but am almost scared to in case my expectations will be too high! I believe Kasabian now deserve to be recognised as the best British band.
