Myself and my best mate Stephen have followed the Rise & Rise of Kasabian ever since the early days, going to see them each time they perform within a 60 mile radius of Newcastle. Last year we both left the academy after their amazing set totally blown away and exhausted from all the jumping around and agreed that that was the best gig we'd ever been to by any band at the same size venue......over time we also agreed that it would take something EXTRA SPECIAL to surpass the greatness of that event.......and guess what, here we are a year later and it has been SMASHED !!! and by the only band capable of beating Kasabian.......Kasabian!!! Tom & Serge walked on the stage at the newly re-named O2 academy with a statement of intent....and that statement was "we are here, you are here, lets get mental !!!" from start to finish they raised the bar for performance and crowd euphoria!!! eclipsing the best gig ever from a year ago and catapulting their status beyond a humble academy tour. after over an hour of fantastic performance combining great tracks from their debut, 2nd album Empire and west Ryder we were treated to an absolute peach of a send off, the "you've got the love / LSF" collaboration......it was amazing.....we were sure they were sending us home with a chilled vibe after the chaos that had gone before, but no......they rocked it one last time and sent everyone off on their merry way in to the warm Newcastle night with grins to rival a Cheshire cat and memories worth keeping in your mind forever.........that night on the way home we both couldn't wait to see them again the following day supporting Oasis, and once again agreed that this was probably unsurpassable.....we also both agreed that the band were metaphorically inches away from their very own stadium or arena tour.......to which they recently obliged by releasing the dates for their widely anticipated tour of Britain, needless to say we jumped all over it!!! and the tickets now hold pride of place on my fridge, which is the upcoming events board in my house, and not since the Weller gig at the very same venue have I anticipated or been as excited about a show, I have a trip to Africa soon and return only days before the gig and it will be one hell of a home coming!!! I know myself, my best mate and the thousands in attendance will not be disappointed.......but probably leave wanting more!!!

Last night was the 3rd time i've seeen kasabian in just over a year, and they get better and better. Lucky enough to be standing and the atmosphere was amazing. Not danced around at a gig so much for years. A mate in the seats told me that during the big songs, the whole place was bouncing from front to back! Great stage set and a great peformance from the band. A fantastic 2 hour set. Its gigs like this that make you realise that nothing beats live music!!!

The guys sounded awesome... exactly like in the album... not like so many of these bands/singers who sound awful live!
They really got the crowd going and played loads of quality tracks.. not just 3 or 4 either... literally went through the entire album!
Special effects and lighting was amazing too!!!

The lads were great, on top form as usual but they were trying very hard to get the crowd buzzing. I was in the standing section and only about 25% were going for it and having a whale of a time, the rest were like swaying screcrows. Bit dissappointing but the music made up for it!

I think Kasabian deserve a special award for the amazing performance they gave at Wembley Arena on 14th November. This was my first gig at the Arena and what a gig it was. I have seen Kasabian before at Glastonbury and loved them then, but this was on another level.
The set was decent and well organised as the theme was based on their new album Lunatic Asylum. The crowd was absolutely buzzing for the whole during of the performance and the fact everyone was still singing the corus of LSF for over half an hour after the set finished, shows the appreciation Kasabian fans have for their music.
It was evident Kasabian gave it their all and the atmosphere in the crowd was simply electric as dancing, moshing, singing just didn't stop. The set was well planned too as the first half consisted mainly their new songs, then finished of with all the usual crowd pleasers. They really showed their true talent in the diversity of the music they create as every song came across as original and unique - and unlike other bands (such as the Arctic Monkeys), their songs can be differentiated from one another.
All in all, it was a superb night and I hadn't had so much fun in ages. I would love to see them again but am almost scared to in case my expectations will be too high! I believe Kasabian now deserve to be recognised as the best British band.

Kasabian really rocked Nottingham.
It wasn't just a concert but also a theatrical show.
The stage set/lighting was superb and the sound was top also.
The Leicester boys cemented their reputation as one of Britains top live acts with this great performance.

Having heard only good reviews about their live shows and loving their music I went to this gig with very high expectation.....and Oh Boy! I certainly wasn't left disappointed!
Despite being seated at the very back which the stage what seems miles away the atmosphere was electric throughout the whole gig and everyone was up on their feet before the first song finished (which was a rather unknown number...quite a brave move). Great selection of songs - many from the excellent current album but also all the old favourites were there and Tom was on good form entertaining the crowds. He certainly knows how to "play" an audience.
EXCELLENT GIG!

My first gig in years and what a one to choose. First a few words about Reverend & The Makers. A great live band with good tunes and a good future. It's a shame a lot of the crowd couldn't be bothered to even listen to them. Prefered to mill around by the bars having a beer. Shame on you.
Kasabian. Seen them on TV, DVD with West Rider album, You Tube, never seen them in the flesh. Great live band at the top of their game, and what a front man Tom is. A master at working his audience to make sure thay have a night to remember. A rare talent indeed. A very brave opener with the relatively unknown Julie And The Moth Man, followed by a set list few could moan about, with all but 2 songs from West Rider plus the cream (in my opinion) from Empire and Kasabian. There was a slight sound problem during Fire but nothing to complain about. I thought Serge would have a bit more to say to the crowd but Tom more than made up, baiting the crowd by compairing scousers to cockneys indeed; you bad lad - Ha
Please can someone tell me why some people left before the end, they must be mad missing the mass sing along to LSF, one of many highlights.

Imagine a room full of 12,000 people, a band who know how to interract with their audience, beer glasses full of who knows what flying around, a mosh pit inhabited by gorillas and a cameo appearancy by the Mighty Noel Fielding. Now mix together songs from three brilliant albums, throw in some new tracks, add a stage set that brings you into an asylum and try to see that stage through a sea of hands and arms pointing to the roof. After two hours of feeling like you're part of the show look up to see yourself being showered by glittering confetti fired from cannons that wouldn't have looked out of place on a First World War battlefield. When people are still singing the riff from Lost Souls Forever half an hour after the final curtain has fallen, you know you were part of something special. It was special, it was amazing. It was Kasabian at Wembley Arena. And I was part of it!

I think kasabien are great, the whole reason i went was i saw them as support for oasis and they were brilliant, this gig was no exception. Great music to get up and dance too. However it was a sunday and it seemed quite relaxed atmosphere, too much pretence and standing around so i moved forward in which it was a struggle then suddenly it was spacious, and this was closer to the stage?!?! normally it is more packed closer to the stage, maye this is the etiquet for sunday gigs, people go to them as they are more reserved and stay away from the front as they dont want people bumping into them and going a bit mad... I LOVED IT THOUGH! my friends went on the saturday and said it was mental, sounds like saturdays are more crazy than a sunday!
