I was lucky enough to see the Killers twice this year. Once outdoors in Hyde Park (26/06/2009) and a couple of weeks later in the Royal Albert Hall (06/07/2009) for their DVD recording. Both shows were amazing. Hyde park was more festival like, everyone bunched together singing their hearts out - was great.
Royal Albert Hall was different, a lot slicker, bigger performance. Was nice to have the contrast. Unfortunatly i had top circle seats so wasn't down the bottom in the crowd - although saying that i did have one of the best views - right at the front looking over the stage. They played a lot more material at the Royal Albert Hall gig too - 22 in total!
The royal albert hall gig was the best live performance i've ever seen. i'm totally obsessed with the Killers now - just a shame they won't be touring for ages now! :(

Louis XIV opened for The Killers, they were an amazing band in their own right! Made my night.
I convinced my boyfriend to go with me in March because I've loved The Killers since their debut single Somebody Told Me & since then they've gotten even better! It's fair to say the whole concert was amazing & the atmosphere at the concert was immense!
My boyfriend is now a lifelong Killers fan like me & places them as one of his new fav bands!
You'd be foolish to miss the next tour!!!

The Killers are my favourite band of all time and seeing them for the first time in February was a dream come true. The support band weren’t much cop but made the crowd hungry for some better music.
When the Killers finally arrived the relife was amazing and as they begin to play Spaceman the crowd erupts. The Killers play an amazing set although some of the new songs aren’t received very well. This is made up for by the amazing old tunes such as Somebody Told Me, Mr Brightside, Smile Like You Mean It and All These Things That I’ve Done. When the new single of the time Human started everyone in the whole arena stood up, the first time I’ve ever seen this happen at the 02. They went of briefly but came back with some of their best songs: Bones, Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine and When You Were Young. The only bad thing about this whole concert, and this is very minor, is that none of the band are particularly chatty, they just come one and play their songs. However this shows they are about the music and don’t have to rely on playing the crowd in any other way.

What a night! We've seen The Killers 3 times now and they've rocked every time. The Albert Hall was great as it's such a small venue, although we were on the very back row. What is a shame is that the people who were standing next to us just sat down or stood still all evening which I thought was a shame as it was being recorded for the DVD, but nevermind. There was a good misture of old and new songs.

Recorded for the purposes of a live DVD to be released later in the year, The Killers played the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday the 5th and Monday the 6th of July and I was lucky enough to attend both shows. On Sunday I was in the stalls facing the stage, and on the Monday I was in the choir facing the audience. The venue itself is historic and beautiful, and the sound is brilliant – it’s worth a visit just to see this amazing place - but seeing The Killers actually perform here was utterly incredible.
The look of the set and the songs that they played was the staple Day & Age tour show that they are touring with at the moment. This in itself is really fantastic, and if you haven’t seen it then you should definitely try to go ... BUT there was something extra special about these 2 shows, something that I can’t quite put my finger on.
I don’t know whether it was the ability to be behind the stage and see things from the bands perspective; or whether it was because Brandon Flowers spoke to the crowd more than normal; perhaps it was the tremendous enthusiasm of the crowd because they were being filmed; or maybe it was just because I had a lot of my friends dotted all around the venue, and from wherever we were we could see each other having a completely wonderful time.
Whatever it was it was electrifying, and I can honestly say that Monday’s show was the best concert I have ever been too. I hope The Killers come back to the RAH, this venue was made for them.

don't like their new stuff, but they did some old classics so fair play, severe lack of air-con made it uncomfortable. won't rush to see them again, bored of them now. at least they tried hard for the dvd!

From the very first note fo Human to the end the Killers rocked the Royal Albert Hall in a way only they could. The acoustics in that place are amazing and really suit just such a band. Songs that stand out for me were Human, Reasons Unknown and Sam's Town, done beautifully on the piano, my favourite song to date. Can't wait for the DVD!

I was able to achieve one of my life’s tick list items this year by seeing the Killers not only once but twice. The first time at the O2 and the 2nd time at the RAH. On both occasions I had (what transpired to be) very good seats.
Comparing the two events I would say that the RAH show was more visceral and their level of crowd interaction was better. At the O2 they just came on stage, BF said ‘Hi, we're The Killers,’ they started playing and didn’t stop 'til they'd finished. Which was better? I thought the sound quality was better at the O2 (well, it was in my seat anyway) there were times at the RAH when their musical genius was lost in the general hubbub and slightly fuzzy sound reproduction. Although, once again I would have to marvel at the quality of BF's voice. Where does that come from?
Which event was better from a grab you by the shoulders and shake you around a bit, point of view. Well, the O2 was a clinical demonstration of their skill, and I loved it for that. The RAH however, was a punch the air type of gig. If the water in your bottle is vibrating along to the music what are you going to do? Get up and dance! Go back 30 odd years, remember the sheer joy of Ziggy Stardust and capture those memories all over again.
Both were great nights, but for different reasons. I thoroughly enjoyed myself; and hopefully I lost a couple of pounds in the process.

Walking into the Royal Albert Hall and seeing that most amazing back drop for the most amazing band in the world was pretty spectacular!!!
From the outset Brandon and the boys thrilled the audience with great song after great song, played all the crowd pleasers and in my opinion was one of the best sets i've seen them perform!
