The gig was listed for ABC Glasgow, on arrival to venue was told it had been changed to Carling Academy Glasgow, not very pleased as is a 25 minute walk from one end of the city to the other. The sound in the Carling is terrible unless your at the back bar. Alexisonfire were fantastic as always, seen them 5 times now and they never dissapoint but defo not the best venue.

ive already seen Alexisonfire twice before but they never let you down. they have good interation with the crowd and sound exactly like they do on CD's. the support bands (Anti flag, 4 years strong and ghost of a thousand) were also amazing and had a great interaction with the crowd.

I spotted the gig a few months back and asked my friends if they would like to go down. they said yes, so i bought 3 tickets.
The day finally came and we made our way down to glasgow. Getting more and more excited all the way down.
When we finally got there the whole place was Buzzin. I think it was Four Year Strong that was playing when we got there. They had a really good sound, but didn't listen much as we were really here to see alexis. Then Anti-flag came on, i'd heard some of their stuff and quite liked them so with them on we started to properly party. After that was the final band. ALEXISONFIRE. Just seeing them sent shivers down my spine.
When George Pettit Started his vocals, and the band started up the whole place lifted off the ground!!!
Bascially I'm recommending going to see them.

I took a crowd of kids to Glasgow for this event. Nothing could have prepared me for the awesomeness of Alexisonfire! Unsurpassed enjoyment. Their songs are still swirling round my head. Want and need to see them again just to confirm that they are indeed an amazing band to watch and hear live.

The gig was amazing the atmosphere was increadable the only thing i did not like was Ghost Of A thousand at first due to the crowd it attracted being the hardcore dancers as they did punch and kick a good few people including a small child but it is not the bands fault Four Year Strong just were unstopable until they had to go off ofcourse. Anti-flag i had seen them before live and new how good they were but this time they gave it there all and really got the crowd all pumped up for the headliner being Alexisonfire who where outstanding they played there older songs which i was suprised at because most bands play there new album but because of there choice for older music a thought they were unforgetable

yes. it was a good gig and the first time i saw alexisonfire, but i do think that their sound quality wasn't that good, you couldn't hear the vocals, and although i loved the music, i would have prefered if they told off their sound man.
Anti-Flag on the otherhand had a really good set along with the other two, most enjoyable

I am a Ghost of a Thousand fan and having attended a gig by them a few weeks ago in a venue the size of a double garage in Margate I had wanted to attend this gig but hadnt the cash to buy a standing ticket before they were sold out.
Due to an unexpected cash boost I decided to go to this gig at 72 hours notice,Having previously sat at the Forum I was un-phased by only being able to purchase a seating ticket.
The Ghost of a Thousand were as ever brilliant the only slight being an echo on Toms vocals.
The second band were from Michigan and typicaly American with an acceptable set of consistent songs.
Anti Flag were a suprise as I had previously heard nothing by them .This being my own problem I have when numerous bands suggest that a band has influenced them, (as in this bands case),I tend to avoid that band incase they influence my own listening choices. In stating this I enjoyed the set,all be it a tad too long.
Alexisonfire were true headline material and provided a set well mixed with old and new material.
To conclude a night of suprises but well worth ther late decision.

Well... they certainly lived up to their website name!
To start with... easy to get to? Yes. The HMV forum is 2 minutes away from a tube station.
The queue? Looked quite long but it went quite quickly so no worries there.
The venue? Lovely... drinks available... T-shirts selling...
The warm up acts? Not good. I guess if you are a fan then you may enjoy them but they went on for THREE hours... thats a long time to stand waiting.
ALEXISONFIRE? I am lost for words... they were just incredible! The whole audience singing along and some moshing if thats the thing for you...
Their sound is just sensational. They are just so good live I am speechless =) Dallas has a stunning voice and they had added and improvised to keep things interesting =) They have great stage presence and know how to work up a crowd. Seemed like lovely folk...
The Negatives? The warm up acts went on for three hours... =(
Alexisonfire didnt start until about 10.20 when the event started at 6.30. This meant it finishsed quite late.
The sound crew were Sllloooooowww....
They only took cash at the T-shirt stall so no credit cards!
The positives?
IT WAS ALL WORTH IT. ALEXISONFIRE ARE JUST INCREDIBALE.
p.s and the T-shirts were only £20 which is pretty good deal...

I missed the first 2 bands because of the trains getting us there really late haha, though im not too fussed about four year strong. The Ghost of a thousand however, i did regret missing. Anti-flag i dont really rate but they did a good performance, and alexis were just as good as ever, would have be nice to hear 44 caliber love letter but still awesome.

Great venue and simply superb value for money- £15 for 4 hours of high energy entertainment.... all different styles yet working well together...
Ghost of a thousand and Anti-flag were my favourites...
