As anticipated, there were crowds instead of a single line waiting outside. It was rammed on the 1st night and rightly so, this pair have penned and recorded so much of the Golden age era of 90's HipHop that you can't name any artist that hasn't had any influence from them. After a warm up from MrParkinsun and MrThing with Dubbledge and co on stage we waited ..and were not disappointed. Both PeteRock and CL exploded onto the perfectly intimate stage with the crowd lapping up every drop of energy they had to give. I saw them both at the JazzCafe years ago and was just was entertained with their stage presence and vocal clarity now years later. What a night! me, My Girlfriend and friends were washed away with a solid set that would flatten any of the current artists and have left many memories of these much loved pair=Pure Gravitas!

It was Brill they still have what it takes to rock the house Yeah Boyyy!! Even though they stuck to their earlier stuff it was a good night, They Havent Lost S??t, would like to see them again hope we dont have to wait as long as we did! I think they must be under estimating how powerfull they really are?

Although it was a little loud and the crowd not as responsive to the great show, pete rock and cl smooth were great. Also, jazz cafe is always a great location to see your favourite artist

What can I say, it was the first time that I have seen these guys and they didn't disappoint! I had their albums from the 90's but never seen them up close! That is the beauty of the venue Jazz cafe the acts cannot escape as you are nearly in their faces! I would see them again with no hesitation!

Ace night with the legendary duo doing what they do best. They rocked the stage and certainly satisfied with their legendary brand of 'real' Hip Hop. Pete Rock selected all the hard beats, complemented by CL and his smooth as silk rap style. CL also showed that he had all the dance moves down!

A brilliant evening that took me back to my teens. The guys sound just as good as they did 20 years ago.

It was great seeing hip hop legends in the flesh. They sounded as good as they did on record back in the 90's.

This was everything you'd expect minus Pete Rock doing any rapping.....well, he did a bit but his voice has gone completely crazy - like an impersonation of Tim Dawg which didn't work. It was a great shame. Up until then CLS did a good job with PR on the decks hyping it up but the crowd were all waiting for something and when PR stepped up to do 'For Pete's Sake' not only did he freestyle rather than stick to the original lyrics but delivery was poor. He basically went back to the decks after one more song and that was it - back to the CL Show. Without TROY (performed entirely by CL) this would've got a 1 star. You can't really blam him for his voice going pete tong but then we did go to hear them rap.....

Good show. They played all the classics that I would have dropped in my playlist.
Nice crowd, everyone was polite and friendly. There was a shocking moment for me when I heard a youngster no older than 18 quoting all the lyrics etc.

It made me humbled to know that the youth can respect the golden era of great artists. Perhaps they'll be inspired and bring back the truth in the hip hop game.

Overall good show, Pete lost his voice and sounded like fat man scoop, that was funny lol. Great to see CL Smooth, performed very well indeed.
