Jean Grae is an amazing performer, a funny person and at the same time very emotional.
Mr. Len did his thing, and so did KidFury, the DJ getting the crowd ready for the act we were waiting for.

Excellent musicianship, nice lineup, more interesting to see than just a DJ and MC as the they also had a great pianist and an extra singer, plus Mr Len is fantastic behind the decks and really plays like a band member. I love the new material as well which moves away considerably from the straight rap stuff I've mainly heard from her before (although the first part of the show covered this side of things very well too). The Jazz Cafe show was on a Tuesday night and she had a bit of a time getting people pumped, probably because most of the audience had come from work and had to work again in the morning, but she was fantastic anyway and played a great concert. I'll also definitely be buying the new record when it comes out, so highly recommended is the verdict.
