Was at Jazz Cafe and was enthralled by her set. From she came onto the stage she was electric. I always appreciate when artists sound better than their records. However, syleena took her performance beyond. I was so happy to be witnessing such a majestic performance. I cannot believe that she hasn't got a higher profile. She included the audience throughout and then came back to sign cd's and take photographs. I was one of the lucky ones. Had a great evening. I will definately be seeing her any time she is performing in London. Her voice is truly a gift from God.

I loved her show. Syleena is so talented and really connects with the audience. I'd forgotten just how many wonderful songs she had. The new songs are hot too. She gives her all on every song. Her voice is so distinctive too.

As expected this was a night of going back to basics.. 'Real singing', in its purist form.. Soulful (as she said) going "back to church!". Miss Syleena kept it real, from thumping upbeat tracks like "Tonight I'm gonna let go" to acoustic sensual tracks like "Faithful to you".. This was an explosive night of soul... Rich gospel based soul music, tingerling down to your bones...

P.s. Really, if you don't know her music don't be shouting out request for another artist!! Miss Syleena will get you!!!

I am still suffering from being star struck, the support acts were really good,i liked khalid, amazing vocals!!!!!! As for Syleena, Well i am speechless, amazing vocals!!!! I had my suspicions of her being my favorite r&b vocalist, but she really nailed it in person. I got carried away and thought she was singing to me!! Brilliant.

Syleena Johnson isn't just a singer she is an entertainer. She was lively and hot...loved those shoes!
She engaged us all as an audience, which is easier to do at a venue like Jazz cafe, didn't keep us waiting which shows real respect for her fans.
I loved the stories that she told before her acoustic set which was brilliant it kept it real.
Would definitely go see her again.

This woman is the truth! What a voice! Amazing underrated talent! Syleena is a power house, she does not disappoint live. I was so wrapped up in her vocals, I felt so uplifted. She took it to a whole new level. Only serious Soul singers can rock you to the point where the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. This chick is keeping real soul music alive with pride. You must see Syleena live, it's a must!

Syleena was very good. Engaged well with the audience in particular her coterie of facebook followers who'd travelled from Ireland and France..

Liked the impersonation part of the show when the backing singers were given a chance to show their vocal talent as Faith Evans, Gladys Knight wannabes.. Syleena herself did a 'right on' Tina Turner impersonation. Fitted well with her flowing locks and energetic dance.

The tributes to Etta James and Whitney were compelling too.

When she was promoting her next album - due out in October - she mentioned that it would be full of covers of artists as diverse as Curtis Mayfield, Betty Swann and Betty Everett. In an attempt to jolt the audience's memory, she burst into a few lines of Betty Everett's "There'll come a Time"... Oh how I wish she'd just gone on and sung the whole song... Left me "Wondering" why not???

I went along with my partner and we had an amazing time. Syleena blew us away with her voice and her performance was a joy to watch. She engaged with her audience and made the show an intimate experience for all. Tributes to the great Etta James and Whitney were sang with perfection.

The event was ok, but the crowed seemed miserable and very few were dancing. Even Syleena Johnson said the crowed were "boring" at one point!
I would go to the Jazz Cafe again, however the atmospher needs to be better and a lot more friendly.
Syleena has an amazing voice live, it's a shame she didn't sing more of her old songs. It sounds like a lot of her new music is quite rocky.

Syleena johnson put on an amazing show @ the london jazz cafe. She is truly an amazing artist! Her voice and the band were incredible hope she returns to london soon! Performed at her best both old and new tracks as well as covering some greats, interracted with the crowd and was totally inspiring, all you could ask for from a concert! This is what music is really about
