Having seen Elbow in 2008 at Leicester De Montfort Hall which is a much smaller and more intimate venue we didn't think that this would be better. However we were mistaken, it was absolutely brilliant! Guy Garvey was fantastic with the crowd and as usual the band performed the music brilliantly bringing us out in goosebumps! They played tracks mostly from The Seldom seen Kid and Build a Rocket Boys albums, but also played Station Approach from Leaders of the Free World. We are looking out for them releasing further tour dates in the next year or so because we will definitely be going again.

Some great moments - Guy Garvey had to work hard to involve the crowd but did very well and the evening ended well with most of the audience joining in. Polished performance and good selection of songs

Having seen Elbow at festivals over the last four years or so from the 'cleanliness of my own armchair' their music has really hit my heart and senses. I have bought all of their albums now and not only do I love their music for hitting heart strings and emotions, but it helps bring back many fond memories and thoughts. I treated myself and my wife to tickets at the O2 2nd December 2012 and seeing them live was something I have been desperate to do...they were just amazing! Guy Garvey's vocals were excellent and the delivery of the band and the harmony of backing singers and orchestra added to the brilliance of the night. Guy as the front man made it such a personal and special night adding his fantastic sense of humour to the set...superb! Elbow are true poets of real life and their lyrics are magical, capturing emotions of good and sad times... I am so thankful for Elbow and their music, and appreciative of how it hits my heart, emotions, and reminds me of people I love with fondness be they with me today or not... listening to their music reminds me of special memories and makes me realise how wondeful life is... thank you Elbow I am truly grateful. Please keep writing music and capturing life, and I will keep an eye out for further opportunities to see you guys again. If you haven't seen them live then go and if you haven't listened to their music then I urge you to please give them some of your time...either way you will not be disappointed.

Setlist: The usual hits and a new 'work in progress'. @

Opening act(s): The support band were very good but the acoustics in the virtually empty arena did them no favours. I will look for more of their music on line to get a better idea of their sound. @

Having been a fan of Elbow for some years I was really looking forward to the concert. I was not disappointed. It was fabulous.
Guy Garvey is a natural entertainer who managed to involve the crowd in conversation without detracting from the musical content.
The live performance demonstrated what fantastic musicians the band are with their instrumental contributions being more apparent than on recorded versions of the same songs.
This was the last night of their current tour and I can't wait for the next one.

This was also our first visit to the O2 and we were amazed by the venue, despite the crowds there was plenty of room to move and the control when leaving the venue was extremely well organised. Probably the best venue we have been to.

Our first Elbow Gig and what an experience ! The whole band were superb, Guy interacted with the audience as though he was in the Dog and Duck not the MEN ! They actually sounded better live than they do recorded and the visual light show was spectacular especially for Mirrorball and the whole place shook for Grounds for Divorce......hope its worth the years wait for the new material.

One of the best concerts I've been to, and I've been to a fair few. Great selection of songs; remarkable sound quality and lighting; Guy Garvey's singing somehow manages to be even better live than recorded; band and strings were excellent; and as others have repeatedly noted, Guy's an excellent front man, great interaction with the crowd despite it being a huge venue. They played most of my favourites, plus a few others I'm not normally so into on the albums but really enjoyed live. I'd see them again any time.

My 'favourite moments' included lighting on 'Mirrorball', Guy's voice on 'Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver' and 'The Night Will Always Win', closing piano on 'Lippy Kids', everything about 'The Birds'... not to mention effortlessly persuading a vast crowd to break into Jingle Bells after you leave the stage (though I don't think we managed the Scottish accent).

Loved this gig.Guys voice is so sweet..it was wonderful to hear him sing his poetic lyrics live.
The effects were beautifully done..there were cameras throwing their images on to screens but not just as bigger versions of the gig..as most bands do..the images were presented fragmented., and overlaying other images..it was brilliannt....mirrorball was sung in amongst a snowstorm of reflected light.....starlings to a backdrop of stylised flocks of birds...at one point the the band gathered together on the extended walkway to quietly sing the night will always win...wonderful,,
Guy was involved with the audience throughout urging us to participate in clapping and arm waving and to join the chorus of open arms and one day like this...
it truly was a most enjoyable heartwarming performance, throughout

Have wanted to see Elbow ever since their appearance on Jools Holland. From start to finish their gig was pure class - the lighting and sound system, their vocals and musicianship were just perfect. Guy Garvey writes wonderful songs, has a fantastic singing voice and is also a very genial host throughout. It is sad that they will not be performing next year, but there will be a new album to look forward to and, with luck, a tour to promote it in 2014, and I'll be there!

Brilliant live band. Guy Garvey great vocals and frontman, really engages with the crowd. And the musicians, mark and craig potter, pete turner and richard jupp were spot on. They sound as good live as they do on the recordings, in fact they are probably better live.
Have seen them live 6 times now and will definitely be going again, assuming we can get tickets that is - its not as easy now they have made a name for themselves, but still the same Elbow.
