I was hoping for a lot better this time around after seeing Kanye in Manchester the year before. I was not dissapointed.
Mr Hudson, Santogold and Consequence got the crowd going and it was nice to see Santogold and Consequence going to the audience to signs autographs and meet the crowd. I was 8 months pregnant at the time so i was seated and had a great view of the stage. Kanye came out and give us hit after hit and the only hiccup was the last song 'Love Lockdown' when he was halfway through and decided to stop and ask his band to start again as he said it wasn't sounding right.
The crowd was going wild at the end and it was a great night apart from the standing crowd throwing cups of lager into the seating area of the crowd and Kanye was on top form!

Thousands of us where crammed into the Apollo waiting for Mr West ... and it was some wait! There was no support acts only two DJs who were playing songs the rest of the crowd and myself never knew, this resulted in a lot of booing and then the crowd turned after nearly 2 hours and started throwing their bottles of water and the DJ's walked off the stage.
By this time the crowd was angry and the staff at the Apollo were throwing cups of water over everyone as the heat was unbearable!
Kanye came on and rapped for 60 minutes, it was one hit after another and he performed great, although he rapped Golddigger about three times! but the set itself seemed rushed and was over far too quickly to say that we were stood one hell of a long time outside the arena to get in and inside to wait for him.

I went to see Kanye during his Glow in the Dark Tour in November 08, and although I am no longer a fan of hip hop, this was definitely a night to remember. Kanye was my first ever gig, and it was unbelievable. The atmosphere was truly electric; he is an incredible performer, exceeding my expectations by far. The lighting and special effects were awesome - a lot more extravagant than most concerts. Kanye himself seemed relaxed, and perfomed extremely well, with no intervals. This gig was insane, I would definitely recommend seeing Kanye West live, you will not be disappointed. I would however try to get standing seats, as I was in the lower tier and would have liked to have been a little closer to my childhood idol.
