i took my son who is 6 and had not been to celtic park since he was 3 weeks old so didnt remember much from then. his grandparents were there he thought it was great seeing all the players as he says real ones not on the telly. MY only sorrow is with Hartson who made the day are thoughts are with him and his family now.

superb atmosphere in honour of a man who was Celtic through and through. Just wish that it could have been a full capacity as it would have been a better rememberence for the great man.

The Tommy Burns tribute match was such a good day. He was such a well liked and respected man and to be at the tribute match was just amazing. My boyfriend who is an Aberdeen fan came along and was amazed at the atmosphere and at how highly regarded Tommy was. He had a great day too. To see the legends play at Parkhead again was great and they really put in a great effort. It was one day that will stick in my mind for ever.Tommy was a legend.

A host of ex players and current celtic players took on each other in a tribute match in memory of ex celtic boss and player tommy burns. Tommy Burns was a true celtic legend and it was a great spectacle even he would have been proud of. A number of players he signed for celtic rolled back the years and sparkled in paradise once again, Pierre Van Hooijdonk, Jorge Cadete and cult hero Paolo Di Canio to name a few but even those players cudnt prevent a Tommy Burns select side goin down 11-4 to the celtic first team.

A great day for any fan of football, Celtic and of course Tommy Burns.
A few emotional moments, the presentation by his daughters and of course his son, johnathon, coming on to play.
Great to see all the legends turn out on the day - shame Paul Macstay didn't pull his boots on but great to see Paulo, Pierre and the rest of the Bhoys.
My highlight was big Hartson scoring and Neil Lennon jumping into his arms-magic!

The TB Tribute game was amazing. The fans/players who all turned out for the game all participated with respect and enthusiasm. Seeing all those past stars (especially Jorge Cadete, Big Pierre and of course fiery Paulo) back at the club they loved to honour a man they all respected was great.
The sun shone and the seats were great. :-) Cheers TB

this was a really good family day out.The sun was shining and the crowd was fantastic. It was great to see former players back at Parkhead like the 3 amigos. It was good to see the cameraderie not only between our current players but of that of the veteran team. The atmosphere was second to none.It also helped to raise vital money for charity. All in all my family and i thoroughly enjoyed the day.It was very poingnant too and i think it made us all realise what a lovely and very special man Tommy Burns was.

The sun was splitting the trees and the day started on a high note! The game was brilliant even though it was a bit one sided, which was reflected in the crazy scoreline! Fantastic to see some former stars playing again, Di Canio, Cadete, Van Hooijdonk, Hartson, Grant to name a few. Fantastic memories came back and it was brilliant singing the old songs! They just don't sing them like they used to!! And of course it was great to see Jonathan Burns leading his Dad's friends and collegues onto the hallowed turf.
An emotional afternoon but a great one. Hope we done Tommy proud.

Hi All you tims out there.
I took my son to the tribute game for tommy burns along with my wife who had never seen a live game before and as we approached paradise the crowd which consisted of mainly families were in a jubilant mood, it was only when entering the ground I noticed that the top half of the stadium was closed and was very dissappointed to see this sad sight as Tommy Burns was a Bhoy through and through and surely deserved a better tribute from the fans as a lot of ex players had travelled hundreds if not thousands of miles to appear at this venue. Maybe the loss of the league to the other side of the auld firm had an effect on the gate but I think the true supporter should have attended as a mark of respect for our sadly departed assistant manager, even Gordon Strachan managed to make an appearance to pay tribute to tommy even though gordon must have been hurting the most by not only knowing the man but had only resigned his post as manager the week before.
