For a number of years now I have seen Throwing Muses as the best band in the world from out of the bands I have seen and heard. I have seen thousands and heard more. It is such a rare and precious opportunity to see them once more.

Amazing gig! What a woman, what a voice. Better than ever, in fact twice as good! Would recommend everyone to go see Throwing Muses live. Non-stop, intense, musical energy. Must have played 30 songs in the one and a half hours of sheer delight that was this gig.

Throwing Muses are a forgotten gem of band, Kirstin Hersh's solo output is always beautiful and moving, but it is only when she is fronting a full band does the true rawness of her song writing come through. A transfixing performance only slightly marred by the usual slightly muddy sound you seem to get at Shepherd's Bush - Throwing Muses don't play that often - last time I saw them was '96 - so if you get a chance SEE THEM, thoroughly recommended.
