I have been a fan of Plan B since I first seen him in Adulthood and then seen him singing on Jonathan Ross. Thought it was weird he was a bit of a thug in the film and then singing soulful songs like She Said. So downloaded his first two albums and was hooked.
Was a bit apprehensive about the show as I had seen that it was in two parts - Strickland Banks and Ill Manors. I knew I would like the Strickland set but just wasn't sure how to act when he was doing the Ill Manors raps. Well there was no need to worry.
The Strickland set was really good. Felt as though it was over a bit too quickly. Then the Ill Manors set started after a 15min break. It was really top notch. The crowd was absolutist buzzing. I am not much of a concert goer but defo let loose. My wife hasn't really heard the Ill Manors stuff and even she was getting into it.
There were a fair few people who didn't move the full show though. I think they went expecting the Strickland stuff all nite.
The end of the show was brilliant. Played a few up tempo songs Ill Manors ( dont particularly like the song but was amazing at the show) and Stay Too Long (my fav song).
Labrinth and Rudimental were there as well. They were better than I thought they would be. Wasn't many folk in when rudimental played so it wasn't as good an atmosphere as it could have been. Labrinth was a nice surprise as I didn't think I would have liked him. At the half time break from Plan B a beatboxer comes out and he is well worth hearing.
All in a top night and would recommend anyone to go and see Plan B
