What a wonderful show. I didn't think I would see Wayne Sleep as it was a wednesday afternoon matinee. I didn't think he would be there, what a wonderful surprise, my daughter said my face was a picture when the show opened and there he was. I wanted to watch it again and again. FANTASTIC

An amazing performance with gritty reality and passion as well as humour. Would definately recommend to all open minded adult friends. Definately not suitable for children. Blurb said over 14's. Personally I would recommend 18 plus. Cast were fantastic.

Thoroughly enjoyable. Having seen (& now possessing) the film the adaptation to stage was really good. Also having read Christopher Isherwoods Goodbye to Berlin from which the story is taken I did wonder why his name wasn't used as his landlady couldn't say Isherwood and called him Herr Issyvoo which might have added to the humour. The darker atmosphere of the impending Nazi regime came over much more prominently than in the film too and the tenor singing 'Tomorrow belongs to me' was extraordinarily beautiful.

Having never seen Cabaret on film or the stage before, and not knowing the story line I was rather dissapointed but having said that, the performance of all the cast was excellent.

This touring show has been so outstanding that I have watched it 9 times in different cities in the past year. The final show of the tour was at Bristol Hippodrome on 28 November 2009 and in front of a 900 strong enthusiastic audience the cast bade farewell with a memorable performance. As Wayne Sleep followed their standing ovations with a well constructed speech and thank you to all concerned, the entire cast was in tears on the stage. The camaraderie and respect for each other was so clear to see and no doubt these were major contributing factors in this show's outstanding 15 months tour. Along the way the wonderful Samantha Barks left the show and was replaced by the equally wonderful Siobhan Dillon. Siobhan gave a brilliant performance on Saturday and she has totally captured Sally Bowles. Her singing is just magnificent and Cabaret and Maybe This Time have never been performed better. Siobhan will go on to do great things in the future and I believe that Sam Barks will do too.
Wayne Sleep was a joy as Emcee and all his vast experience was on display as he camped his way through this memorable performance which was cheered to the echo by the audience.
Great performances too from Jenny Logan as Fraulein Schneider and Matt Zimmerman as Herr Schultz, these stage veterans have such warmth and charm to add to their great skills as character actors.
All of the cast deserve the highest praise for their great skills, enthusiasm and quality, my thanks to all of them for providing so much wonderful entertainment.

My wife and I were very dissapointed in this show, cast were O.K. I think in the main it was the script and production.I expected a lot more dancing, and even more interesting music,It would appear to solely rely on stockings and suspenders, and a few risque moments, overall very boring.

I was entralled by the outfits and the dancing. The story line was very thought provoking and the ending was a shock.
The use of minimal scenery was very effective and the whole cast looked like they were enjoying the whole experience.
I bought the tickets for my sister and myself and we both enjoyed the evening very much. The easy of getting into the Theatre and seated was a very easy experience.
Well done to all involved.

What a production! Sets, scenery, costumes and cast; all top quality and could not be faulted. From, the minute the 'aperture' opened and Wayne Sleep (Emm Cee) talked to the audience, it was non-stop entertainment. The whole production (for me) evoked thoughts of what perhaps took place just prior to the Nazi Party taking control in Germany. As this was the last show after 15 months, the cast seemed to put their whole hearts into it and it showed. Thank you for a wonderful evenings entertainment.

This production of Cabaret at the Bristol Hippodrome on 28th November 2009 was by far, the most amazing show I have ever seen. It was a treat for the senses and I felt like I had been emotionally steamrollered.
I did not expect to be so profoundly affected by it, not just because of the naturally emotional content, but by the performances of all the cast which left me spell bound.
This is why theatres exist, to entertain, to excite, to stimulate and to push the boundaries. I feel like I have been forever changed by this experience! My next show has a hell of a lot to live up too!
Thank you for making me feel so alive!

This performance was really stunning and so touching. This show was so much more than I ever expected and I left the theatre feeling truely moved. The dark history the play is set around is portayed with such care. I truely believe this is a story based on facts that must never be forgotten.

The sheer size of the auditorium militated against the intimacy of a true night club, coupled with the rather shrill sound produced by the Sound Producer which led to a lack of clarity. All in all, however, it was a great night out and the cast must be looking forward to a well-earned (but hopefully not too long) rest after their 15-month stretch.

A dark piece, this one: inevitable given the background to this story - the rise of Hitler's Nazi Party. Yet the big numbers were superb, none more so than 'Cabaret' itself, and the movement on stage by the cast was especially good. The two doomed love stories within 'Caberet' were clearly told, making it easy to identify with the loss and hurt of the characters; and the menace of the brown shirts was ever-present as the second half wore on. Immensely enjoyable entertainment.

A n enjoyable evening with very strong female leads. Sadly, the male leads were much weaker and diluted the performance. Wayne Sleep was a shadow of his former self and neither danced nor sang well. He is a great personality and it was sad to see him struggle throughout the performance. Nevertheless I would recommend the show as the female leads, in particular Sally Bowles were forst class. The show managed to handle the change of tone and atmosphere exceptionall well. Well done the producer.

The ending very sad and brings home how Hitler treated the jews.
Another stomping good show for the Bristol Hipp, look forward to our next outing!!
