What can I say. Thin Lizzy were wonderful. The ghost of Phil. will always be there. He had a special charm that captivated an audience, but, this band rocks in a way that modern young bands will never understand. Brian Downey is the best drummer I have ever seen. Scott Gorham is fantastic, Darran Wharton, bril. Ricky Warwick does not try to replace Phil. but he has a wonderful energy and is great interpretator of Phil's songs. He is a true rocker. I will see them again if I can this year.

Not so sure it is a farewell as Ricky Warwick stated after "The boys are back in town" that they'd be back in town again? Favourite band of all time - so I was sad to, potentially, see them go, but elated to see them one more time. Although, technically, Brian Downey's the only one left from the original line up, with Scott Gorham a close second, this is a great line up in a band that was ever changing.
Support was courtesy of Afterlife, with three former members of Logan in the line up, and they were none too shabby either.

Brilliant again, was in edinburgh last week, glasgow on saturday, had to go again , could be the last time as thin lizzy, great gig as usual, all the songs still as fresh as they where all those years ago. as my son & daughter , avid concert goers,have said "nobody plays music or do gigs like that any more"
must be 30 odd times i have seen them & still come away from one of their gigs very happy.
Ricky Warwick brilliant front man, full of enthusiasm for the music & he really does look as if he is enjoying every minute.
As the great man Phil himself said,
"Till the next time"

This is the third time I have seen the band in 2 years and they continue to rock. The venue was packed and the atmosphere great. Terriffic venue...never been there before.

Fantastic night, all the hits, Scott Gorham still the "man" on guitar. Only reason not 5 stars is not "THE" Thin Lizzy without the man Phil Lynott.
ages from teens to 60`s in the crowd, proves that good rock music still enjoyed by all ages.
will be in line for tickets for next visit.

This is the second time I've seen this Thin Lizzy line-up in a year. They are fantastic!. I've heard so much about it being wrong to do this music without Phil Lynott but the music is too great to let die. Phil wouldn't want that . Go see this band while you can. They play with great passion and verve. The magic is still there!

The support band FM were good n really warmed the crowd up belting out their past and new songs. Was bit worried we were in for some prog rock when saw keyboards but how wrong was I! Fantastic!
Then came Thin Lizzy. A change in the line up from earlier this year Viv Campbell had been replaced with guitarist called Dave Johnson, but the duelling guitars still sounded awesome - the Thin Lizzy trademark. Hit after hit Boys Are Back in Town, Jailbreak, Rosalie, dancing in the Moonlight, and an awesome rendition o black rose!!! And my own personal favourite Still in Love with You!! Brought a tear to mine and my partners eye. Special moment.

Shame it was billed as the farewell tour.. The band sounded tighter than ever.. Ricky does a good job on vocals and has the Celtic passion.. Damon and Scott sound great together and Downey and Mendoza a solid bass/drum combination.. Been listening to Lizzy since 74 and for me it stays timeless music...

The guitar amplifiers were turned up so high that distortion was apparent except during the quieter periods even though the accompanying groups had no problem in that direction. This had the knock-on effect of drowning out the vocals and the songs were only recognized by a few words here and there. A very disappointing performance.
The group did not come up to the same quality of performance as the tribute bands Limehouse Lizzy or Twin Lizzy

This is the 2nd time i`ve seen Lizzy this year once in Carlisle & once in Edinburgh the Edinburgh gig was rockin.If anybody gets a chance to see them definlately go. They certaily no how to rock & get the punters going.After Phil left us i thought they wouldn`t be the same but was more than surprised how good they were.

There was three good things about tonight. My wife is disabled and the staff at the theatre were very good at looking after her - we were upstairs where the seating was - and had a good view. The only downside, was that we got a row whenever we stood up to bogey to the music - you try sitting down to rock and roll!

The second thing was the supporting act The Treatment. I thought that their performance was amazing and I've decided that I want to be a rock-and-roll star and grow my hair long when I grow up.

And of course the third good thing was Thin Lizzy themselves. I wasn't a fan of their's in their hey-day - and that is another example of my misspent youth. They were very good and gave 100% percent.

Another outstanding performance as we all expect from a seasoned rock group as Thin Lizzy. Superb Set list, Sha La La outstanding but I am biased being a drummer. Will I go and see them again on their next tour, of course I will. For me the only negative being the venue, I wouldn't go there again, doesn't lend itself to the shorter fan

Great to see the band again at such a good venue as Rock City where you get face to face on the same level.. Sound was loud which I enjoyed and the crowd were great, looking around I think just about everybody were rocking towards the end.
Just love the Lizzy music and the atmosphere is electric.
Liked both support bands and where else can you see 3 great bands, Treatment, FM and Lizzy for 30 quid.
No flash lighting, no big effects, just great music,if Lizzy dont come back and tour again I for one will miss them, I have seen them 6 times with Phil and probably more without him at Brixton Academy, QE Oldham, and Vibe for Philo to mention just a few and this was as good as it gets (without Phil)
I hear there could be an album in the offing under a different name so look forward to that and also to see them reappear as another band, hopefully, still with that distiguishable Lizzy sound
