What a show!!! Non-stop favourites from beginning to end with a liberal sprinkling of new songs for good measure, all delivered beautifully in a way only she can. Do not miss her if you get a chance to see her on this tour. Talk about value for money, she is a Star with a capital S.

Favourite moment: Has to be Sand and Water. This is one of the very best songs written by anyone in the last fifty years. @

Opening act(s): Marcus Hummon - reminded me of Joshua Kadison. BNC has a habit of getting good opening acts and this was in that tradition. @

This is the fourth BNC concert we've attended. Her voice is not as good as it was a few years ago but her songs are just as engaging. She connects with her audience very well.
The string quartet was excellent and complemented her songs beautifully.

We had a great night! Loved Marcus' musicianship but not sure about his solo singing. Beth was better than ever. Brilliant selection of songs, which ensured my husband bought the CD for me afterwards. How she gives such a great performance when she has such a heavy schedule, I don't know. Maybe she loves Newcastle and performs here better than anywhere, but I doubt it. Thank you, Beth, for a lovely birthday present from my two daughters.

I have seen Beth on numerous occasions and tonight was just as exciting as the first time I saw her. Her voice was brilliant and her songs so emotional.
I had a bad time about 3 yrs ago and some of her songs helped me get through this period and listening to them live always brings a tear (or more) to my eyes.
Beth, if you read this, please keep coming back. It is always inspirational to see you and listen to you.

beth was again wonderful. A voice that never misses a note. Wonderful songs with brilliant lyrics and a genuine warmth and humour which allows her to build a great relationship with the audience. However can the Tyne ever get the heating right. Last time it was freezing .This time only half the audience kept their coats on

Fantastic, I have never seen such talent. Beth was amazing and Marcus was fantastic too, the evening was completely made by them both signing CD's and chatting to everyone after the show - fabulous, can't wait to go and see her again.

An inspiration to everyone who knows about her life, the courage and positive outlook on life should be a lesson to everyone out there.

Beth Nielsen Chapman has a smooth melodic voice and this concert featured songs from her new album as well as the beautiful theme from "Calendar Girls" film and the Faith Hill hit "Kiss" that were written by Beth. Her quirky personality came across when she engaged with the audience. All 3 players were extremely talented.

Beth is an amazing artist, and so talented with her song writing and playing of instruments, I saw her the last time she was in York and I thought she was brilliant then but this year was even better. I do like the way she appears so relaxed and her voice is just something else, after buying her CD I played oit all the way home and it was like I was there at her concert again.

Having previously seen Beth in a charity concert back in 2008 I was very excited to have the opportunity to see her perform live again and I was not disappointed.
Beth's support act for the evening was Marcus Hummon, a US country singer/songwriter with some impressive credentials which include co-writing the Rascal Flatt's hit song 'Bless The Broken Road'. He gave a great performance and even sang the aforementioned 'Bless The Broken Road' with Beth at the end of his set!

Beth's performance was a memorable experience, she is so full of life it is hard not to be inspired by her unending optimism and belief in what you can achieve in life. She sang many of the songs from her new album (and even played around with the arrangements of them!), some of which are truly heartfelt and others fun and uplifting, although a charactistic they all share is the meaning behind the songs and the stories they share with you, through her beautiful lyrics.

In amongst the new songs, Beth also played some old favourites such as 'Sand and Water' and 'All I Have', both sung with deep emotion and an air of simplicity.
Beth clearly loves to entertain, and kept the audience laughing with her humour and stories about her life.

I attended this concert with two older friends who enjoyed it just as much as I did, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who likes Beth's music.
We left the concert feeling uplifted and with a big smile on our faces. Beth is by far one of the most inspirational people I have ever seen and through her music shares her love for life. An extremely talented musician.

My husband and I had experienced a Beth Nielson Chapman concert last time she played in York FABULOUS experience so this time we introduced three of our good friends.They will be joining us again !!! we all left with a cd and a feeling we had enjoyed a wonderful musical event by a very special person .

I was so disappointed, I had expected an evening of melodic tunes, but instead my ears were assailed by a raucous, frequently off key barrage of mostly rubbish songs. And all that silliness about not being to tune her guitar was just irritating - can't she get the hang of it before she comes on or get one of her back up to help? They just had to stand by raising their eyebrows to each other.
My friend and I couldn't stand to wait till the end, we left early. Never again!

Despite her rather tragic personal life and very personal sad songs her show is uplifting and full of laughter and happiness.Her voice is terrific so powerful and clear and the mix of old and new songs is well balanced.

I have 3 of Beth Nielson Chapman's Cds one of which contains her hits and most popular songs, in my view (they are all great). I have listened to her on a Sunday morning with Aled Jones, watched her with Andrew Marr on his show on a Sunday morning. My impression of her was 'a very quiet introverted individual'; however, her concert was a revelation to me she is such a happy extroverted person, born for the stage and entertaining audiences. I found her to be outstanding, her voice and musicianship was excellent... pretty perfect all round. This was a very personal intimate concert, did not feel like I was in a concert theatre, she made everyone feel relaxed and appreciated. Unusual for an artist to do this in my experience, she asked for requests and when they came she answered one request with, 'when we do the fake ending and come back on, that will be one of the songs we will play'. She was such an honest immensley tallented artist with a voice like an angel. She shared some of the challenges and tragedies she has encountered in her life, so many for such a young lady and all of them quite unfair, but she has come through and continues to produce quite a unique style of music and song. At the end of the show she was in the Foyer signing and having her photograph taken with anyone who cared to ask, for the more discerning, she would ask if they wanted a photgraph taken with her, what a lady. In sum, an excellent concert from an outstanding genuine artist.

Have only recently seriously started listening to Beth. Both her new CD and live concerts are great. As well as increasingly powerful, emotional and melodic songs she is humourous and sincere in her live performance.

Having overcome many challenges and much sadness in her life her music is inspired through overcoming the challenges.

As well as lots of energy and enthusiasm in her live performance her faith in music and life shines.

Look forward to her return to York.

Even though we knew she would be superb the whole evening surpassed all our expectations. She makes you feel as if she has always known you. She definitely understands what life is really about. She can bring warmth and humour even to life's sad events. How refreshing to see someone after the show who is willing to give her fans a warm smile and her precious time. Can't wait to see her again.
