Ben E King at the Jazz Cafe on Saturday night was absolutely amazing. What a warm, engaging guy and what a trooper at 72 years of age. Some serious vocals from a seasoned champ. You rock, Mr King!

The Jazz Cafe is a great venue that has had some sensational performers over the years, but, I am hard pushed to think of anybody that has created a more enjoyable evening than Ben E King. He has a great rapport with the audience and thoroughly seems to enjoy being able to do what he has been doing for the last 50-60 years

Truly one of the original masters of soul, cross over pop and rock n roll.
He commanded the stage and the audience's affection effortlessly. We were all singing and clapping along for the most part on our feet for most of the evening. He sang the favourites and clearly has not lost the quality and power that some others have over time. It was a privilege to be there and to hear those wonderful tones and excellent execution that we have come to associate only with the truly legendary Ben E King.

First time i have been to the jazz cafe and the last.An absolute dive.Can't believe someone like Ben e king would play there.I didn't even stay to hear him sing stand by me. Ben e king is a great artist but should be playing somewhere else.

The night started off with the awesome Digisoul Band playing 2 great instrumentals to get everyone in the mood. As Ben E King was spotted making his way to the stage the crowd were elated as he strolled down the famous steps to the stage flanked by Digisouls backing vocalists Princess Freesia and Keisher Downie who also gave a flawless performance. We were taken through an amazing journey of his greatest hits, along with a couple of AWB collaborations and Sam Cooke numbers. We were also treated to stories behind some songs which always involved a drinking session. I'd also like to give a special mention to Nick Van Gelder (Drums) and Andy Tolman (Bass).
Love music? Love Ben E King!
