I'm a student studying musical theatre at the moment and so I'm very into this area of the arts. I did enjoy the show, don't get me wrong. However, I feel it was a bit tired (but then what do you expect after 25000+ performances... Some choices in the direction and the delivery of lines made no sense. I think I enjoyed the show mainly because of the play itself rather than the performance of it. This show attracts a much older audience and it's a shame that nothing being done to gain interest in the younger generations. I stumbled upon the show when trying to find something *different* to see, compared to going to see big blockbuster shows such as Wicked or Hairspray, whereas there's no reason why it shouldn't be picked up and given a makeover. It's obviously doing well with the amount of performances, but this, I believe has become the novelty of the Mousetrap.
