The three sixty theatre is basically a very comfortable, permanent "big top" which is situated in Kensington Gardens. On the day we went the sun was shining, people were lolling in the park and kicking footballs about, the bees were buzzing and my son was wildly excited. There was live, elegant music coming from the large cafe, and all felt very right with the world - what could be better?
It was my son's first real London theatre experience and the real pluses were tent (did I mention that already?), the use of the aisles as part of the stage which meant everything felt very close, the projection onto the tent itself which meant even the ceiling was part of the performance, and the absolutely amazing Aslan.
Sadly for me the story felt a little flat, and some of the other animal costumes were only obvious if you already knew the book. My son found it a little difficult to follow not having read it, but there was a lot going on that helped grab his attention none the less.
I think despite the talented cast, if the production had focussed less on impact and more on basic story telling it would have one me over more, but it was fun.
