Found it to be amateurish.
The story line was spun out with long song and dance routines.
I did not have children with me, but would def. not take young children to see it - I think they would be bored as there was little or no audience participation for them .

I saw this production several years ago in Edinburgh when my two boys were babies. I enjoyed it so much that I had to return now that they areolder. I was not disappointed. The show was magical a true reflection of the brilliant Disney film and my two boys aged 8 and 5 loved it.
A fabulous production.

I am a great Disney fan, and in particular this is one of my favourite Beauty and the Beast!
Family of 4 good family show, my nearly 4 year old son loved it too. Ideal location, fairly quiet which was good as the school's hadn't stopped yet, plenty of room to move about. Would definately go back, singing and dancing amazing!

I was so bored during this. I wanted to leave at the interval, but didn't want to annoy my family by doing so. It felt like filler. Long drawn out songs with dancing napkins. And what was with all the women SQUEEEEEEEEING? The sound went right through my skull. The first half was undoubtedly the worst. It got slightly before towards the end when the beast's spell broke, but still... I found it pretty painful to sit through. Sorry :s

Thoroughly enjoyed the musical especially as there was a comical side to it which made it lighthearted and fun.
It is a show that I would like to take my granddaughter to when she is older.

Absolutely fantastic! Cast, costumes, music, and production was all superb... very enjoyable for all ages. The baddy Gaston was particularly good, was like he really was a disney character brought to life and so too was the prince/beast, the clock, candle and tea pot. Brilliant, loved it!

i had high expectations for this production as it was disneys and not a knock off. The orchestra were fantastic and the show did for the most part stick to the original story line but the quality of acting was appauling and there were a few cheap jokes thrown in eg beast oooooooooooh! i laughed but only at how ridiculously cringeworthy it was. Gaston was annoying and i know he's meant to be but not that way. For the price that I paid I expected better quality everything including beast mask.

I took my five year old daughter to Beauty and the Beast, at the Clyde Auditorium on Saturday the 19th December. Right from the outset she was totally captivated and hardly took her eyes from the stage. I felt that the show was extremely well put together and all the actors were great. Make no mistake, this show will appeal to adults aswell as the kids, and would recommend it to anyone.

Some lack of makeup and props , the little boy playing chip forgot some of his lines.
Some of the actors lines were not intelligable. Not sure if my 3 year old daughter noticed though. Sure she quite enjoyed herself , and thats the main thing.
But the £35 a head was way overpriced. Comparing it to the Lazytown tour , which was £15 a head there wasnt much comparison. LT had much better production , more impressive and better actors.

A truly magical show, great songs which sounded even better when played with a live band...spellbinding costumes...lovely christmassy night. The transformation of beast back to human is spectacular....then there's also the first dance of Belle and Beast to the title track...

The musical numbers were generally good but it was sometimes difficult to understand the words. This was also true of the spoken lines of some of the actors. The Beast had an exceptionally fine singing and speaking voice. The supporting actors, especially the candleabra, clock, teapot and cup were very good. The scenery, flow between scenes, and costures were particularly well done. Altogether an enjoyable evening.
