Having never seen this show before, it was interesting to see how the story developed.. I never knew how funny it was.. extra bonus for me !
"All that Jazz" was in our ears for quite some time afterwards. Quite the classic show song..
Cast were excellent..
Fantastic singing - Ruthie Henshall has quite a voice on her - outstanding..
Both leading ladies were superb. Dancing was very impressive..
Downside - Some songs were actually quite boring (my friend says that these are added for the stage show and not off the soundtrack..- but I can't confirm that)..
Stage design never changes rendering the show visually lacking..
Two people in our group had never been to the theatre before & they absolutely loved the show & would go again..

I have not seen the film version of Chicago, however, I don't think I need to. The energy of the show and the passion felt in the songs is why we choose to see theatre and why absolutely nothing beats a live performance. It's live, it's raw, it's Chicago!

It was a brilliant show. We loved the dancing and the sassy & original story that’s showing that Broadway snazzy, sexy, sparkly style right to the end. I should definitely not forget to mention the on-stage band and their amazing music performance. You are definitely going to go back home with all that Jazz in your head.

We enjoyed the show. My wife and I were not huge fans of the film but heard the stage production was good so decided to see it and were not disappointed. The singing and dancing was good and the stage layout was interestingly different. I think we managed to follow the story well having seen the film but for those who have not seen the film, it may be more difficult. There were no costume changes though, which means when some actors played double roles (press photographers) it got a bit confusing.

Excellent production, the harmony of the voices was one of the best i've heard. Dancing impressive, stage layout different to the norm which made it interesting. Took a bit of getting used to everything being in grey and the fact that Roxy and Velma had the opposite hair colours of those in the dvd. Probably better to see the dvd first to get maximum understanding of what is going on although not essential. Really enjoyed the whole performance, everyone gave 100% so couldn't ask for more. Well done everyone.

I booked to see Chicago with my daughter for her birthday. Between us we had seen all the other major shows and to be honest this was a compromise so I wasnt really expecting too much. Wow how wrong can you be!! This show has you tapping your feet and clapping your hands from beginning to end we absolutely loved it. Music really jazzy, the orchestra was amazing and the cast looked like they were thoroughly enjoying every minute as was the audience. Enthusiam oozed from everyone on stage and I would happily go back and see it again. Would thoroughly recommend.

I went to see this show with my mum, and had no idea what to expect. I hadn't seen the film, and thought it might be quite a serious show - how wrong I was. It was funny, goofy, sexy, momentarily sad and full of fantastically catchy songs and amazing dancing - those high kicks!
I'd thoroughly recommend the show if you're looking for something a bit 'lighter' with great dancing and singing. You'll definitely walk out laughing and with some great tunes playing in your head.

Second time that I have been fortunate enough to go and see this great musical. Once again I thoroughly enjoyed the show.
The only small downside is the theatre - 'comfort cooling' is none existant. I dread to think how hot it will get in the heat of the summer...

Chicago was the perfect tonic for a cold wet London night !
The music and dancing was superb, but would have liked to have seen a few set changes on stage.
We sat in row C (8&9) of stalls and felt that these seats were a little to close to the stage to get a holistic view of the performance. I tended to focus on dancer directly in front of me and missed important events on other side of stage which contributed tothe story.
