I was really concerned about going to Lauryn Hills' concert because of all the rumours about her mental state and how she doesn't perform as well as she used to. I originally saw her back in 1999 and that was amazing but I didn't expect this concert to be anywhere near as good. After the first 10 seconds of the concert all the negativity went away because Lauryn sounded absolutely amazing, I was actually stunned by how good she was. She did all of her popular album tracks as well as a Stevie Wonder track, a Bob Marley track and her Fugees tracks. In the middle of the concert she kind of hinted that this was just the beginning so hopefully this is the sign of things to come and she'll try to make a comeback. I got everything I wanted and more from the concert, absolutely wonderful!

I had read reviews about Lauryn Hill's previous concerts on the internet in the US and was sceptical as people had commented that she turned up late, looked dishevelled and used the performance as an opportunity to babble about the world rather than sing - so was a bit apprehensive...

Glad to say none of this happened - Lauryn Hill came on stage on time, looking amazing and really happy to be back in front of a crowd singing. Her voice was amazing, still as deep and soulful as ever! She did her back catalogue and some Bob Marley classics and then the big Fugees hits - as a Fugee fan first and foremost I was in heaven!! Am glad she gave her fans the songs they came for was very VERY happy!
The Indigo provided the perfect venue for an intimate gig. It was so worth the ticket price, the place was packed and I'm so glad I went!! If you get a chance to go to see her perform live GO!

Lauren hill is back baby! (with a vengeance) you would never believe she's been away 10 yrs.. She was full of life, confidence, humour, passion
And stayed on stage for nearly two hours with virtually no breaks! How many so called stars can say that!
It was wonderful to hear that amazing voice and so natural rapping ability.. Just blew the crowd away and the longer the gig went on, the better it got!
She played all her best known tracks with some clever twists alongside a number of Bob Marley covers with a Lauryn hill twist.. All in all an unforgettable night..
She promised to come back soon and do an unplugged session. All I can say is if it's half as good as this gig, SIGN ME UP! Welcome back Lauren, we missed you xx

This was simply the best concert I've been to. We had our doubts to begin with, because of past performances, but it is safe to say that the living legend that is Lauryn Hill has well and truly returned. Her vocals, her charisma, her presence and ability to do what NO other artist out there does was just phenomenal. I was so impressed to see how much control she had over her band and how in tune they were with her. I cannot believe I was able to be in the same room as Lauryn. She truly is a magician and we did not want the night to end. She said there had been some resistance but that she would return and I hope more than anything that she will indeed, return! God bless Lauryn Hill. One of a kind.

Having seen LH previously and been disappointed I figured a return after several years may have seen some impressive changes, this was not to be.
Songs were sung in double time to avoid having to hit high notes, which are now clearly a struggle. The Marley and Wonder covers were impressive so there is hope!
Would like to see LH rearrange tempo to cater for voice and slow it down when required.
There is an artist struggling to find her place.
The audience loves you so build on this!

All those who said that this performance would not be good, and that her previous shows have been some what disappointing etc etc, would have had to EAT THEIR WORDS, Not only was she Amazing her performance was just phenomenal!! She made all the songs a bit edgier with a Punk Rock twist to them and her spoken word was faster than Twista, She was a thrill to watch. She performed new songs that just flowed with the old with some very special Fugee songs included, her back-up singer were having a blast aswell, she interacted with the crowd made up a song about her dress and breasts on stage and was overall just a delight. She even mentioned that she would come back and perform UNPLUGGED.

Lots of Love for Lauryn Hill.. Absolutely Fabulously Amazingly extradinary ( and If u didn't know now you do)

Its hard to find the words to describe her performance. As she said at the beginning, "Its been a long time coming" and she well and truly left the crowd speechless at the end of her 90 minute set.

Not only did she perform tracks from The Score and Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, but she also covered some classic Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder tracks, much to the satisfaction of her screaming fans.

Cant fault this gig at all, her voice and energy were close to perfection....No doubt I'll be in the front row next time she graces London with her beauty.

Lauryn Hill was AMAZING.

Best concert I have evert been to. She blew me away. From the minute she came on stage to the minute she walked off, I was enraptured.

Absolute quality. I knew that she'd fallen off and had some weak performances in recent years, but she really worked hard, and this show was fantastic. She's back like she never left.

Band was brilliant. Remixes of her old songs were amazing.

If anything, I wish it lasted longer.

For me it was just wonderful to see her return and put on a GREAT show. With her gold dress looking stunning, her rapping was on point and her voice sounded raspy but had that youthful innocence everyone loves about her.

I'd heard that Lauryn Hill could be be a bit temperemental, things such as appearing late on stage and not performing her most famous songs. My expectations were completely wrong. She was absolutely amazing, her vocals were on point, her band were great and she did all the songs I expected and more. She even did some Fugees tracks and a couple of Bob Marley covers. The atmosphere was electric and I would recommend seeing her to anyone!

After not really knowing what we were gonna get with Ms Hill, after a few bad reports from recent gigs, Lauryn Hill came through all of that and got us all jumping and not really believing we were actually there! It definitely wasn't a dream, we were living it.
If anyone went to the gig thinking they were going to be serenaded by the sweet Lauryn Hill from Sister Act 2 would have been very disappointed. She seemed very nervous & uncomfortable to start with, fussy about her ear monitors (which if not right can be a real distraction). Some may have taken her musical directing as eratic behaviour, her hands doing a lot of work. Ms Hill and the band brought it down to sort out levels about a third way through; after that, WOW.
She took a moment to speak to the crowd, explaining the 'resistance' she has experienced, but now she feels "freedom on a cosmic scale". That seemed to relax her a bit, which made for an unforgettable evening.
She busted out Fugees and Miseducation tracks like she'd never been away, nailing every word and every note. The arrangements got us all bouncing; her backline set the songs on fire, the strobe lights were on overdrive & finally we were all in teh same place as Ms Hill. The connection between Ms Hill & the crowd was weak at the beginning, but by this time we were right on it; we were feeling everything she was. A few Marley tracks throughout the night played very much in her favour, timeless tracks that anybody would want to her Ms Hill's tones bust out.
As many reviews have stated: Lauryn Hill has definitely still got it. Make no doubt about that.

I've never seen Lauryn Hill perform before and I was a little worried that when I did she could never live up to the voice I've loved listening to for the past x thousand years. However she did and was definitely worth waiting for.....

I had arrived at about 8.30ish and based on previous reports had expected her to come on late but all seemed to work in perfect time. the warm up DJ was getting the crown going to start with and then Lauryn and the band came on to take over.The only dis-appointment was that we didnt get to hear "the voice" much. We were waiting to hear some un-plugged tnes but they never came. Fortunately we had meet and greet tickets so i managed to get Lauryn to sing a few lines for me from Waterfall so it kind of made up for it. We had a good night to remember

Lauryn Hill was good, she still has the voice and talent. So why was she performing her classic beautiful soul/reggae/hip-hop songs over harsh rock beats?

Was a bit disappointing in that respect but I enjoyed seeing her back anyhow.
