i went to see enron on saturday 6th november at the theatre royal in newcastle with my dad we had front row seats and it was amazing would go again to see it in newcastle

I wasn't sure what to expect with this one but was pleasantly suprised with how it panned out. The song choice was a little peculiar and some of the scenes was flirting with bizarre but overall I was enthralled and captivated with how a number of these major financial events were portrayed. My girlfriend and I both enjoyed this quite thoroughly and I have already recommended this to a number of friends.

I guess the reason why Enron has created such hype was that it came out at the right time, in the aftermath of the financial crisis which rocked economies all over world. The UK in particular, with its reliance on the finance sector was, among the hardest hit. People lose their jobs, their houses... they are angry but at the same time curious about the whole shenanigan. So they get excited about this play. While it explained the collapse of the energy giant Enron in relatively simple terms, with audio-visual effects to boost, I have to say that the dialogues were shallow, the cast unimpressive. I thought Claudia and Jeffrey in particular were average, while Andy Fastow was good.

If you are interested in a bit of a history of financial and accounting fraud lesson, then go. But if not, you could spend your hard earned cash better elsewhere

The set was extraordinary, the ideas were great, the script was not easy, and could probably do with a bit of a rewrite. Notwithstanding that, I was surprised at what heavy weather the male lead made of the whole thing... his diction was often unclear, but more than that: he seemed unable to take the script, as wordy as it was, and EXTRACT the meaning and the feeling from it, and make it shine out to the audience. I was always aware of someone trying - perhaps too hard - to act...

The production, as a whole, failed to come together, as far as I was concerned, despite the excellence of its many elements; a case of the whole not living up to the sum of its parts.

I would LOVE to see it again, with a different cast - though the actor who played Claudia, and the one who played Ken Lay, were outstanding. I suppose what I mean is: "I'd love to see it again with a different male lead"...

A lively, energetic multimedia event that explained one negative aberration of the capitalist system. Despite the technicalities involved in the fraudulent behaviour of the leading figures, the explanations were made understandable. Wish I could say the same for the diction of many of the characters, and a lot of the dialogue was lost. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable experience.

Went to see Enron before it closes but was disappointed. They turned what could ve been a very good serious play into a trivialised half musical. It asn't awful but far from good.

if you know the story previously of enron then this is a must watch. It was interesting to know how a multi nationally recognised company could be easily run so badly.

This was a sell out at Chichester last year and has had rave reviews - it is good and slickly performed but not everything was audible (in the Royal Circle) and in the end the characters are so unattractive you don't really care what happens to them. As a story for our times it would make you aware of the frightening economic future ( if you hadn't already realised what a dreadful situation we are in) and the cast have great verve and conviction.

Having seen some rather negative reviews, we were a bit concerned that Enron would not be as good as we had hoped. We should not have worried. It is such an important story that needs to be told and needs to be learned from. It was delivered in a way that was entertaining and imaginative and we loved the energy from all members of the cast. There were also some very amusing charaterisations, particularly of the Lehman brothers. The understudy played the main role on the night we attended and he was brilliant. My only concern following the whole experience was that I don't feel we really understoond why Skilling did what he did - and what he did with all that money! And he should have received a much more appropriate and practical punishment than 20 years in prison!

Enron could well be considered a 'boring or stuffy'' story, but this production was brilliant and the symbolism throughout was completely entertaining..i particularly like the three blind mice (in suits)...says it all! Highly recommended!

A great take on a truly historic corporate event. Informative, entertaining, gripping and well acted. Humerous in parts and insightful into what can motivate those at the top into commiting such awful crimes against it's employees and investors. Brilliant! A must see.

Enron. A scandal of international exposure and, while for some bizarre reason I was expecting a musical, I was pleasantly thrilled to see a modern theme take a beautiful shape on stage. Filled with remarkable staging and choreography and a theme that rings anger in this time of our financial crisis. Well done.

Excellent, gripping show. Fast-paced and pulling no punches. Tells the story of the biggest bankruptcy of all time, cleverly exposing the culture of bullying, arrogance and 'cowboy' philosophy which led to this and which, to quite a large extent, still exists in financial circles in the Western world.
