I have attended hundreds of concerts over more years than I care to remember, and consider this one of the finest shows I have ever seen.
From every aspect it was exceptional, crystal clear sound, stunning special effects and lighting, together with superb singing and playing ... not forgetting the wonderful speaking tones of the narrator. I will be honest that at one point I wondered how can they be this good are they actually playing these compositions?
I had never heard their music, but knew a couple of their artists through my love of the SAS band, who appeared with the group either in the past or present which was a good enough reason for purchasing a ticket ... thank goodness I did.
For nearly 3 hours the group of nearly 20 played, danced, sung, spoke and so deserved the standing ovation from what to me seemed a half full theatre .. a shame but how fortunate we all were to witness such a show.
No I am not going to tell people what they missed in more detail, but urge you to purchase the Beethoven or Night Castle CD's .. if you like rock music with a classical flavour you will have a treat .... think of Meat Loaf in his prime and you get the idea
Their parting words were see you next year (this being their first visit to the UK) .. I will be first in the queue for a ticket .. praise indeed.
