Brilliant set by the Furries, Venue was intimate but very good. Freepeace did a good job as support. Only giving 4 stars rather than 5 because the acoustics were awful for the first 20 minutes of the Furries' set.

Well this is about the 5th time I have seen them and probably at their best. Less of the usual slow tunes and more load and rockin' than usual. Took me 2 days to recover.

Super Furries where awesome, some real good sounds covering all their hits and they had the crowd rocking!
The RITZ is a superb venue, far better than the Sheffield one as you really do get close to the band, smallest I've been to and that added with the 'bouncing floor' made the atmosphere all the more enjoyable.

The Super Furry Animals do it again!
The venue was very intimate and accoustics were ok but the performance was amazing (as per usual)
The set list was also very well organised mixing old and new and incorporating crowd pleasers such as 'Rings around the world' and 'Man don't give a f*!?'
All in all a great night.

A packed Ritz on a cold October friday...Sticky carpets, bouncy dancefloor, rocking tunes.
SFA in great form, mixing old and new perfectly, the crowd became involved and the encore brought about the infamous SFA 20 min rave session! The boys still got it!

I admit that the amount of times i've seen them is well into double figures, but I dragged two SFA virgins kicking and screaming to the gig and they have now booked for Liverpool in a couple of weeks. Can't give a stronger reccomendation than that! ;)
Fantastic.
The new songs fitted perfectly with the classics, and they really know how to milk them now :)

The crowd took a few songs to warm up. But when they did, it was none stop- we were down the front. The band , as usual, were fantastic. Good mix of classics and the new stuff . This is the 5th time seeing SFA and each time better than last. I have yet to leave one of their gigs without a wall to wall grin on my face. Never seen so many guys hugging each other in mutual appreciation of SFA . So many stand-outs but a special nod to Demons and Hello Sunshine.

I must admit...for those who are fans of super furry animals that didnt get a chance to go to this gig, well, you should be extremely upset about that :). It was a rediculously good gig! Everything about it was super dooper. I would defanitly say its one of the best live performances i have ever seen. The sound was amazing, the songs obviously were amazing, they were so tight and seemed completly flawless. Backing vocals were spot on, and the use of samples made for a perfect live performance of songs that i thought would just be written for CD, and not played live..They prooved me very very wrong. They also had an excellent stage presence, and communicated with the crowd well giving off a very loving vibe, but also seemed to have a lot of fun and made the crowd have a wee giggle now and again.
I certainly would never miss the chance to see the Super Dooper Furry Animals live in concert again...hopefully by then they are aloud to have there Laser Light Show in Scotland ;) Much love indeed!

Best I've seen of SFA in years. I knew Dark Days/Light Years would lend itself to live listening, but on this showing the boys are back at the peak they hit when touring Radiator. Love the venue too, and the first gig in years where I haven't felt like I'm getting really old...

A great evening with 2 superb performances. A little strangely Supergrass opened the evening but turned in another rocking performance. They were on top form playing a mixture of hits, album tracks and newer songs.
The Lightning Seeds were as insipid as ever with Broudie's vocals surprisingly weak leading to a very tight and polished performance by SFA.
Super Furry Animals playedsongs from across all albums and, as ever, brought the crowd to life - I have never seen them play on an outdoor stage and they managed to maintain the relationship with the crowd which they get in smaller venues. Superb!
Clumberfest 09 was advertised as having four bands but The View were dropped after we had bought the tickets and we only found out on the day of the gig. There was no replacement of them.
We took our kids of 12 and 9 to this and they had a great time with people shepherding them to the front row.
It is not a picnic event and you are only allowed to take water in however the venue could not cope with the number of people wanting to buy drinks meaning that there were ridiculous queues at the bar. The food was incredibly limited as well.
We will go next year but as the parking is right next to the venue we will take our food and drink and have a picnic by the car.

Although the festival was not as busy as I thought it was going to be, I really enjoyed my self. The atmosphere was good and I really enjoyed the bands especially the lightening seeds. I also managed to get some quite good photo's as we stood quite near the stage.

Listening to their albums is great and watching them live is an equally enjoyable experience. They played songs from their early days to several from their latest album 'Dark Days/Lights Years'. Such a great live band and they keep on impressing after all these years.

The weather held.
Somerset house series gigs allow just the right amount of people in for the shows.
You can move around, get to the bar, get near the front. And no one gets agitated.
The Furries were amazing. Just the right mix of old favourites and tastes from the latest album.
No silly costumes, or background stuff this time around. I missed that.
The 'Applause' boards were a nice touch though. Gruff gets away with anything, huh?
Their fans love them so much- there's nothing but smiles and squeals of joy.
We sang along, jumped around to "man don't give a..." and left wanting more.
And there was no more- no encore? Makes sense I guess. We all know it's all pretend, by now.
Next year everyone?!
