A superb concert from a consumate professional. Popa Chubby as suuport was an excellent choice, but as ever, Walter and the crew were simply amazing. If you have never seen him, it really is time to go for his next gig.

First time at the Jazz Cafe, Camden. A cramped / intimate venue. Sound quality not great but compensated for by the closeness to the stage. Walter Trout and his excellent band delivered almost 2 hours of rocking blues including a jam with Steven Dale Petit on an old John Mayall number.
Walter had a great rapport with the crowd (apart from a blast at someone who decided to start a song for him using their own harmonica intro) and delivered songs with enthusiasm, passion and soaring guitar. He played a lot of songs from his latest album 'Blues For The Modern Daze' - well worth a listen.
I would definitely watch him again and also visit the Jazz Cafe again.

Great venue, the sound was very good, with a lot of detail.
The opening band was in the same spirit as the main act which was a good thing. Always good to get to know interesting up and coming artists.
Walter Trout, was everything you would expect: great playing, great spirits, excelent musicianship, cracking jokes and telling stories. One of the big names in the blues today.
The only flaw I found, was that the keyboard player's volume was sometimes lower than the what you would desire.
Will get back for sure

I don't know how he does it but he makes the notes actually ring out in a cascade of rythms licks and pure mainline blues cords- not only a great instrumentalist but actually plays and sings with a depth of feeling rarely seen on any stage- I liked it very much

The Slade rooms are a bit tired to say the least, the lighting is awful, the pillars obstruct your view and the PA isn't great - could have been the guy at the desk perhaps but probably the PA.
Walter is an amazing guitarist without doubt but playing a hundred notes a minute on practically every track became monotonous for me and even the more restrained solos lacked the feeling of so many bluesmen I've seen over the years. The keyboard player had a great retro Hammond sound which gave the band much needed richness but I've got to say overall it didn't do much for me. He's back in the UK in March I think at the Robin which will probably be a much better experience but one I think i'll probably miss.

Walter Trout once again amazed with his virtuosity on the guitar supported by a tight band who all obviously enjoy what they do. Support act and guest artist also excellent giving hope that new blues guitarists will continue to emerge. The time simply flew by and the banter with the audience and relaxed approach made the whole concert feel more initmate. Would have been nice to have more encores, but you can't have eveything.

Walter Trout has not lost the edge, still one of the foremost blues guitarist, everyone of the band members were exceptionally good in their own right and well received by the audience, with a bit of banter from both sides made the night very enjoyable. Ollie Brown the support band are ones to look out for in the future, another talented guitarist and bluesman who if I am not mistaken had some tutelage from Walter. An exceptionally good blues night and one of the legends I can tick off my must see list.

A cracking show brilliantly opened by the Oli Brown group (one for the future)
Walter came on, relaxed as usual. A tight band played some full on blues rock. Walter never lets you down. His keyboard player Sammy was A1 as were the rest of the band. He had a guest vocalist that kept appearing, who would not be lost fronting his own rock band. One of the many highlights was the bass player guitar duet but the best bit of the night was when a 18 year old ? Riley came on and dueted with Walter. The lad has a record deal in place with the same company as Walter and again is one for the future. overall a great night in a great venue.
