With 8000 fans having made the journey to Liverpool I though it was poor form for Morrissey to walk out on the entire gig because of the actions of 1 idiot. The guy was quickly and forcibly removed leaving the way open for the Moz to return to the stage, laugh it off and bring some credibility to this ill-fated tour.
There has much talk of the fabled "bottle". I was 4 rows from the front and clearly saw the missile was a half full plastic pint. clearly. It barely glaced off the quiff and the only injury sustained was a bruised ego, it was a real pity this was put before his army of fans who rightly expected better.
Still love the music but my faith in the man has taken a battering.

I was really looking forward to this gig i booked it months ago as part of my fiance's birthday present we were excited all day and couldnt wait to get there.
we got in just after the doors opened we sat and chatted until the support act came on (doll & the kicks) they were pretty good then there was a film on morrisseys idols then the great man himself came on and said "it's Liverpool,it's raining,it's perfect" then started singing this charming man it was fantastic then morrissey went straight into his second song (black cloud) about 2 minutes into the song somebody decided to throw a bottle at morrisseys head as he was bending down to shake peoples hands and that was it morrissey stepped back said "goodbye" threw his microphone down and went off the stage we were gobsmacked we kept thinking maybe he would come back on but someone from his band came on and said that the gig was over we were so dissapointed that we had to go home and all because of one person its just not fair to the thousands of true morrissey fans that travelled a long way to see their idol

Moz was in great form and what was going to be a five star performance was ruined by the stupidity of one individual. Morrissey is a true legend and deserves respect, so I do not blame him for not coming back on stage. He always has a great rapport with his fans and shakes hands with as many as he can (I was one of those lucky one's on Saturday night). Not many performers come to the front of the stage to do this, so I just hope that he has not been put off by this disgraceful incident. I will be over the moon if the show is rescheduled. Long live Moz.

Been waiting to see him for years.
Did an excellent show, and his voice was excellent, something that live recordings and tv appearances dont seem to show.
My only complaint was having to eat a vegetarian curry, cos they werent serving meat.

This was the first time I had been to a gig at Alexandra Palace and was a bit apprehensive about seeing Morrissey at such a big venue. My fears were realised..... The show was still great - I'd already seen Morrissey twice this year and the show itself was just as good if not better than the others. Morrissey showed no signs of his recent illness and the set was based around his new release swords. Everything was very well organised at Alexandra Palace, getting drinks and food was easy and there were loads of toilets. BUT it just didn't have any atmosphere. It was blooming freezing too which didn't help and the audience seemed lack lustre and not really into it - not sure why. People were even surfing facebook on their iphones while the gig was on!!!! Morrissey seemed to get the same vibe as he only did one song for the encore and it was all a bit of a damp squib! Thankfully I'm seeing Morrissey in Las Vegas next month otherwise I would have been very disappointed if this had been the last gig I'd seen him do this year.

I have wanted to see Morrissey for years his first song was fantastic, but some idiot spoilt for the rest of us. Morrissey should have returned to the stage and warned the crowd this begaviour was not acceptable. We travelled from the Isle of Man sowith te cost of flights, hotel, food and tickets it was a very expensive weekend

The event would have been wonderful if Morrissey hadn't acted like a child and walked offstage halfway through his second song.
I'm not happy that someone felt the need to throw something at him, but he wasn't hurt and no one cared if he got water on him. It was incredibly selfish of him to walk offstage because of the stupid actions of one person. Everyone else in the arena was a massive fan and came to see him because they love him, myself included. He should have stayed on the stage.
The support act, Doll and the Kicks, were really good.

I have seen Morrissey and The Smiths countless times, but every gig brings on new excitement. I love the man and going to see him live is pure pleasure!
I have only ever seen him in Manchester, so this was quite a new adventure...going as far as Liverpool!
When Morrissey came on stage, he seemed totally up for the gig...which was pleasing considering his recent ill health. I was on my feet, dancing through This Charming Man and Black Cloud...when the gig came to a halt. Some idiot had seen fit to throw what seemed like a bottle which hit Morrissey on the head, and the contents went all over him. Morrissey said 'goodbye' and left the stage. After around 15-20 mins, it was announced that he was not returning to do the show. I was totally gutted, but at the same time, really didn't expect Morrissey to return and nor did i blame him. This could have been a really good gig, but some senseless yob ruined it for the thousands of disappointed genuine fans.
If Morrissey ever decides to return to the UK to do any live shows, i will stick to my hometown of Manchester, somewhere where he will get the respect he deserves - by saying that i am not putting blame on scousers for causing the incident, it could have anyone from any town. Such a shame that the UK stretch of the tour had to end this way.
The five star rating is obviously based on previous Morrissey performances, as this particular event only lasted around 8 minutes! Still love ya Moz xx

His Lord & Master was in top form from the opening note to the all too soon final track. Strange little venue, all seater which seemed to encourage half the audience to think they were participating in a wake!
Having negotiated from the back row to the 15% alive standing down the front we had an even better time.
He didn't collapse after one track and no one threw a bottle to send him scurrying off stage after two tracks. I think it was only three tracks of the new Swords album which was a result as I had only heard it twice and prefer to be familiar with the music on offer. The band were in good form, the bass player and drummer repeatedly drawing praise from my mate.
Many highlights including Black Coud and Cemetary Gates. 1 hr 20 min is just not enough when there are so many tracks you want to hear.
But then for some of us 7 hrs wouldn't have been enough!

Well at first i thought it was nice of him to turn up after all these health issues he's been having. First song was lovely. Second song starts.... then he stops singing....then its "goodbye"....then walks off?!!?!?
I can't believe one person can ruin something for thousands of people and get away with it. What a sad act. Why would you go to a concert then throw a cup/bottle whatever at the persons head???
Morrissey should have come back on stage and held his head high. Clearly everyone else was there to see him and not to throw objects at him but....there's always got to be one.
I'm upset that it was my boyfriends birthday present and we had to travel from Leeds and all we got to see was one song....which i'm sick of hearing.
Would have liked him to re-schedule but....cant blame him if he wont.
SHAME.

As a pensioner I never thought I would be writing a rave review but this man is an icon. I cannot find words to describe him - his stage presence is unbelievable. He has the audience in the palm of his hands and simply seems to get better and better. What other artist could have a grandfather and grandson spellbound. His music and words contribute to a performance that appeals to all ages.

Morrissey arrived onstage in a brown suit with a blue shirt and said, "it's Saturday night, it's Liverpool, it's raining, it's perfect" played This Charming man which sounded amazing, half way through Black Cloud gets hit with a half full beer in a plastic cup says "goodnight" and scuttles away, I have followed Morrissey since the age of 15 and this is not the first time I have been let down by him. He seems to have a disregard for his fans when it comes to his own ego and narcissism. Fair enough to be hit by anything is not right but to walk off say "goodnight" with a cheaky wink and a glint in the eye and refuse to come back on stage like a little child to me is completly unacceptable.

One and a half song and he walked off. 8000 fans who did not throw anything at the stage! More effort should have been made to find the person who threw a plastic glass at the stage, and even if this failed the concert should have continued with the warning that any further problems would lead to cancellation.
So for my husbands birthday treat we saw an unsigned band and 5 minutes of Morrissey. Not what I had in mind when I parted with my hard earned cash!
