What a brilliant concert. David played for one hour forty minutes non stop and gave his all to each and every number. Listening to him live just makes you even more of a fan - his voice is superb. AND then when coming back on for his encore (we had hoped but thought it a long shot) he introduced Annie Lennox! What a privilege and a massive bonus to see Annie (an all time favourite) perform live. They did two numbers together and he then got back behind his piano and just kept going. Very nearly two hours of non stop superb music - an amazing pre Christmas treat.

Favourite moment: When the stage was lit from behind him very brightly revealing a silouette, it was like being in a dream state - beautifull. @
Setlist: Sorry couldn't say now, but all the biggies @
Opening act(s): Don't remember his name but it was depressing! @

Absolutely loved it. Second time I've seen David Gray. Thought that he was great at Cardiff but this was even better. Colston Hall is a fabulous venue. First time I've been there, the sound and the intimacy of it was brilliant. He played non-stop, delivering all the tracks you want to hear and interacted wonderfully with his audience. The memory of this particularly concert will stay with me for a long time. Very very good value for money.

David Gray and the band were fantastic, playing a mix of old and new, but the whole thing was spoiled by the crowd, or at least the 30-odd amongst them who talked through the whole thing, except when he played a couple of his best known tracks, when they shut up. So when I was trying to enjoy the music, I got some old screechbag rattling on about her son going to university. Who spends £30 on a ticket for a gig then talks all the way through it? Bonkers. During some of the acoustic bits it was like listening to a quiet CD in a noisy pub. Next time I'll get there early and stand near the front.

Absolutely brilliant! I was amazed how someone (he) could possibly make really slow songs (eg Life in Slow Motion) sounds so rocky and lively! Would go again and again.
The support act (John Smith) was good too!)

What can i say, if you haven't seen DG live i'd recommend it to any one. Didn't know what to expect to be honest as i bought tickets for my girlfriends b'day and i was basically tagging along, but the mans a legend sang and performed for nearly 2 hrs without so much as a drink of water. Played a lot of his old hits Babylon, sailaway etc plus some new stuff. IMPRESSED to say the least 5*

What a fantastic gig, even the support act John Smith was good !! this was the second David Gray gig we had been to in recent years and it was much more of a show than the previous one - more lights and special effects.
David sang nearly all his popular hits as well as some of his new ones (I have ordered the new album for xmas !) and he didn't disappoint with any of them.
If you are a fan then I would recommend booking tickets as you will not be sorry !!!

a lot of songs from the new album, Draw the Line, which is good because I think its David's best since White Ladder. I love the Fugitive and also Nemisis. David always puts a new slant on Babylon, I suppose in recognition that not only it made him but its also a classic nowadays. the words to Please Forgive Me are beautiful and I always dedicate that to my Princess (my wife Deborah).
just wish he had done Say Hello, Wave Goodbye as thats a personal favourite of mine.

I saw david gray at the height of the white ladder fame and he had sold out the M.E.N
I did not know how he would be this time because he was fantastic then just one word to describe him AMAZING!!!!
From the moment he got on stage the audience were loving him his voice and music were better than i remember and he owned the stage
His songs old and new remain in his unique style and they were delivered impeccably
He was far better than i expected him to be and this was definatly one gig i was glad to be at

I took my girl along to see dave at the apollo in manchester on friday night. She is a big fan and also had never seen the man live .She didn't even know what he looked like till that night. We found it next to winning lotto trying to get a pick of the falle he just does not stop moving haed the leg's the lot kind of cool in an of baet way.But what a show man backed by a more than able band they set about putting on a show that filled our hart with joy and had us grining from ear to ear.doing all the numbers that made him who he is and a lot of the new album and i have to say i think the man's back on form if he ever wasn't.The apllo was a graet place to see somebody like dave I had never been there before and it ticked all the piont one looks for in a gig and the man seems to know the crowd and like's to let them know it .So go see him just might be what you are looking for.

Another blockbuster performance from yer man, how does he do it?
Thought though that his original hits (Babylon, Sailaway etc) should have been done in their original format, but only a minor gripe.
Shoud make more use of the nutter on the drums (Prior)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went along to this concert with my hubby who got the tickets for his Birthday..
He has liked David Gray for quite a while although I found his music ok probably would
not have gone to a concert..
So So glad I did I was blown away ...
His Music is far far better than any of his CD's & they take some beating.
This is a must concert for anyone.
We battled through the heavy snow to see him & boy was it worth it...
The Apollo is a great venue to see Artistes far better than the bigger M.E.N Arena.
We would certaininly go again...he has added another fan to his list... such a professional great band too...
