David Gray - modern yet romantic

Favourite moment: Two things - the bit where David had to restart one of the tracks and he had this great smile on his face, and of course the stars.... @

Opening act(s): Not sure about the support acts, especially the second one, John Smith, who should have started off by saying this was the third time he had supported David Gray rather than leave it till the end - he may have got everyone's attention and respect a little earlier that way. @

With a perfect mix of old and new tracks, David Gray created a perfect atmosphere at the Roundhouse. The star visuals set against "Nemesis" created a sensual end to a perfect performance. Overall, I would highly recommend this gig - it was the first time I have seen David Gray live, although I have all his albums. Thank you!

I have waited 5 years to get tickets to my favourite artist. Was it worth it?, most definitely!
After more than 40 years of live concert attendance I have yet to hear a better band, from the first note to the last bar. Sheer brilliance.

Wonderful small venue to see DG's new material- an intimate event with well mannered fans and room to move and be comfortable. So glad managed to get tickets , and some fantastic new songs.

I have been to several David Gray concerts and they all have been fantastic but the one in the ABC Glasgow surpassed eveything that has gone before . Excellent venue , the atmosphere electric and as for David he was rockin . Fantastic .

O2/ABC is a nice,almost exclusive venue as no matter where you are you have an excellent view of the star in question. The night was amazing, it was all about the music. No fancy stage shows with lots of effects and dancers, it was class frankly.

John Smith was the support act and he showed that he is definitely one to watch in the future. With earthy, down to earth rustic tones he's a star in the making.

David kept us waiting over half an hour but it was worth every single minute! He kept the crowds attention throughout with his stunning voice and great set, he really gave us his all - it was an outstanding performance. After playing back to back songs, old and new, he returned to give us an amazing encore which for me was the best 20mins of the evening - worth every penny and the crowd absolutely loved it!! He is in every sense of the word an amazing performer.

whenever david comes to town, he sells out. i missed him previously, but luckily was there this time to witness excellence for myself. from the support act down to the main performance, i was stunned, and david had us eating from the palm of his hands. the sound quality was excellent, the venue was a lovely setting and even when he commented on our huge mirror ball, i was still dancing and jumping up like a maniac. cannot wait to see him again, hope he will not stay away too long

Me and my husband went 2 c David Gray and the rest of his band at the ABC in Glasgow. This was the 4th time we have seen him and he was on top form. We had such a great night and we were lucky enought 2 b right at the front. Didnt want it 2 end. The best night ever. Love him 2 bits

Unfortunately the support act was not to my taste but when the real thing happened the evening took a turn for the better. It was a long wait before David Gray eventually came on stage and that was a real drag. Having said that when he did eventually arrive he was excellent. It's the first time I've seen him live and I'd definately go again and again. He was terrific. Lots of new songs but quite a lot of old favourites as well which was unexpected and really made the night.

This was the fith time seeing David Gray and he only got better and he was fantastic before. With a perfect mix of new and old songs he lifted the roof. Every song was performed with real passion and energy. This man knows how to entertain. I would highly recommend seeing David Gray to anyone, old and young. A+.

This is the third time I've seen David Gray live over a 5 year span, each one better than the last.
If you want to see a group of musicians who obviously love what they do and put great feeling into it then this is for you.
David's distinctive vocals were complimented with atmospheric music and lighting.
The new material sounded fresh while the old favourites (Babylon and Please Forgive Me) still rocked the house.
Well recommended!

Really good show with a decent mix of the old classics and the new album.

On stage from 8:45pm (missed the support) until 10:30pm including a 20 minute encore.

Could have had a little more interaction with the audience in the main set but not much to complain about. His voice and musical craftsmanship with his revised line-up is as good as ever.

No frills, just what it says on the tin.

Great gig.

the show was amazing,dave seemed to be really up for this one and looked as if he enjoyed every song that he played. With a seemingly new enthusiasm for playing live he encouraged the crowd to sing along with him, by the look of it he even enjoyed playing babylon instead of just going through the motions.

David raised the bar again with the release of his new album draw the line .I was impressed with all the new songs he played ,as he has been working on the album 2 yrs.The sound was great and atmosphere was electric.My favourite song of the night was nemesis,and glad hes back with a bang......

David Gray came onto the stage with his band, all dressed in smart suits. He started with one of his new songs from his new album and it was instantly awesome. From one song to the next, he never let up on the enthusiasm, energy and total entertainment. An incredible show - just can't describe the atmosphere he created. He was so loved last night by one and all. Simply the best! And yes, better than all the rest!

Really good concert, but hope he chooses another venue next time. Sound is great but no seating and people constantly banging into you on the way to the bar, spoiled an otherwise great concert - thanks for a great gig David.
