Jon demonstrates what is best about New Orleans Music. Piano playing at it's very best backed by Matt Perine and Doug Belote, master craftsmen in their own fields, they showed London what is on offer every night of the year down Frenchmans Street and other great venues in New Orleans.
We should have a New Orleans Jazz Fest of our own every year and bring over more great mucisians like Jon.

Jon Cleary is excellent and I have bought all of his albums over the years. I have also been to see him play live several times, but the latest gig at the Jazz Cafe was not the best. We asked the doorman what time Jon was due to start and was told 8:30 ish, so we went for a drink up the road to a pub. We returned at 8:30, but Jon didn't start until 9:30 and we had to leave for our last train at 10:45 and missed some of the set. The sound was also very poor, which I think was not Jons fault but perhaps the sound system!
