I absolutely loved the intimate atmosphere created and as expected ani was on top form, playing a range of songs from the v. old to the brand new.
The support act, Ruth Theodore, was just as good.

Manged to get right on front row. This was the first time I've Ani live, and I was completely blown away by her performance,
Can't wait for her return to the UK

This was the best gig (and the best Ani gig) i've ever been to. Her voice was brilliant, she was relaxed and at one with the guitar, the audience and her sense of humour. The venue was incredible - great acoustics and seriously friendly staff - the vibe was pretty incredible.
Ani is a genius writer and performer but this gig just topped any others i've seen - I wish I could've gone both nights.

A great concert and cool venue. A good mix of new songs from the new album and intermixed with the older classics which we love. Great atmosphere and we all joined in the singing. A man from the audience got the chance to perform with Ani on stage (playing one of her guitars) and joining in the harmonies to the song "Overlap" - it was so cool and so spontaneous ! (Luckily he could play and could sing!! ). I wish I'd bought tickets for both nights.

The event itself was good.
However it got livelier when Ani invited one member of the public to play
the guitar with her. We all cheered.
The last 2 acts were also the highlight. The encore, after she left the podium first time,
were 2 of her great songs. All of the previous ones were less known songs.

The venue was great in capacity allowing a big number of people to enjoy the show.
However it was not as good as the one when she came to play at Shepperd's Bush
Empire because at that place we all stood up and had the opportunity to dance and
drink beer at the same time. At Union Chapel we all had to stay sitting down and
no beer was allowed outside the bar. It is harder for the artist to enliven the show
and for the public get carried away in the joy of the moment.

Ani Difranco at O2 Shepherds Bush Empire was fantastic. I've never seen her live before but after listening to her for many years on CD I was really impressed. She's so insightful and her songs are all self contained stories. Magic. Loved it.

She is an amazing artist who has written and performed some amazing music. However at her gig this week most of the songs performed were new tracks that were all very slow and 'boring.'

She even apologised a few times for playing new, slow songs but never the less carried on playing them! that made no sense.

People were leaving the venue half way through

After seeing her in London in 2008, I was really looking forward to this concert. She played loads of new songs, took requests from the audience and rocked out her most popular numbers!!
Its quite unbelievable that she is 40 years old, she has so much energy & passion!! She really connected with the audience & everyone left completely buzzing!
