Portsmouth Guild Hall provided an up close and personal gig which was truly amazing. The Wombats rocked it and there supports acts were good too!

Wombats were fab, the support acts weren't to my taste but good. Audience was really young 13-16 sort of age.. felt very old!!

Favourite moment: The whole gig was magical, hit after hit after hit. @

Opening act(s): didnt see much of the opening acts and their mixing wasnt very good so it was hard to hear the lyrics. @

I have seen the Wombats 3 times before, once at Bestival and then twice at Southampton Guildhall but this was by far the best gig I have seen from them. The acoustics are so much better at Porstmouth Guildhall so it gives a cleaner sound. The band were on form doing many songs from their first album and all their subsequent hits. This was their first gig for 2 months but you would never have guessed, their enthusiasm rubbed off on the crowd and it created a magical atmosphere and a truly memorable evening. Hopefully this wont be their last visit to Portsmouth as many bands today tend to go to Southampton instead.Cant wait to see them again.

It was amazing :D I loved the graphics and sound quality. The songs they played were amazing and it was just amazing :D the two hour wait was completely worth it :D

The only downside of the evening was not knowing the name of the support bands, who were also amazing :D

My first thoughts where that the venue was relitavly small but that turned out for the best as it made the atmosphere immence, I thought the set up acts where great and the wombats performances sounded great and where entertaining. The thing that topped it off for me and my friends was that the atmosphere was incredible there was people screaming and shouting, people surfing the crowd, jumping about and basicaly going crazy (in a good way). I would recommend the wombats concerts to anybody.

Intermixed the old with the new....what a sound for a 3 piece outfit. Lot of classic songs that everyone was singing along to. It was also a great atmosphere at the institute not too big and not too small with all the crowd being in close proximity to the stage. 2 supports bands also played well.

A fantastic time was had by all the family. A brilliant blend of songs from their forthcoming album and the old classics such as moving to new New York and Joy Division. The band whipped the crowd up to a frenzy with there strategically placed 'dead certs' combined with a clever choice of venue's to open this tour added to the experience. Really entertaining gig that I would queue up to see again and again and again.

A great concert
The Wombats performance was again fantastic
But I'm still trying to come to terms with their change to a more techno beat on a lot of the new stuff
But I'll give it a go and see if it grows
