My wife has been a fan of Placido for many years , so this was an opportunity not to be missed.
It was even better than expected , the both performers were fantastic , and it was a real privilage to be at the venue that evening . Placido was unbeleivable and Angela was equally superb , really great evening

wonderful, sent shivers down the spine and Angela Gheorghiu was very good. The classic Romanian songs were lovely. The encore was very long and really good. well worth the money

Angela Gheorghiu and Placido Domingo were absolutely incredible that night! They definitely are the best in the world in my opinion and deserve all the applause and merits!!! Their performance was invaluable and I am determined to go see them every time I get the chance! I would recommend anyone with a taste in such music to go hear them sing, it's an amazing experience!!!

The voices were great, as expected, but the chemistry between them both and Gheorgiu's effortless ability to create a warm relationship with the audience were the unforgetable aspects of a superb evening.

I went with my husband as we are both fans of these singers and thought that it would be our only chance of seeing them.
I expected more popular arias from Domingo but Gheorgiou sang several well known ones
which were delightful.
They both sang some "popera" which down very well with the audience.
All in all a very enjoyable experience.

I went along with my daughter who like me is a lover of classical music and opera. We were not disappointed by Placido's performance. He still has charisma and presence and his voice is wonderful. Angela Gheorgiou was a little disappointing in as far as we didnt experience any 'moments' from her performance. We didnt like the change of pace to the lighter more contemporary musical songs for either of them but Placido really made up for it by the way he gave his all which ensured that we went home happy.

Domingo and Gheorghiu were absolutely fantastic. He may be 70 years of age but he still sings as if he is half that age.

I originally booked tickets as a teat for my mum and was not sure what to expect.
I can honestly say that the whole evening was excellent and Placidos voice for a 70 year old man was brilliant.
Angela Gheorghiu was also on top form and when the two of them were on stage together the combination of the voices was superb.
The night was made complete for my mum as the tickets also included a met and greet with both stars in the new Sky Backstage area after the show.
Many thanks to Placido and Angela as well as Sky for the met and greet

We were hoping that Placido Domingo would still have his voice and we weren't disappointed. Not very familiar with Angela Gheorghiu before but what an incredible voice she has too. It was an unforgettable evening's entertainment which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Amazing opportunity to see and hear such talented singers.
However, the accoustics of the O2 arena do not do their voices justice. High tones in particular could generate some echos.

What a magical evening, in spite of being in an arena,which I hate. Also had seats about as far away from the stage as you could be.
Forget all that and the tube journey back into central London, it was worth every moment.
Both singers were SUPERB, how Placido Domingo is still singing so fabulous at 70! is beyond me, he is unbelievable and Angela was wonderful as always, what a voice!
It was clear both of them really enjoyed the whole performance, as did the audience.

These performers are extraordinarily talented. It's my first taste of live opera and their voices just go straight through you! Amazing! Angela G's voice is magnificent and her passion exudes. Wonderful striking dresses too! I cant believe that Placido Domingo can still belt them out at 70 years old and they both have incredible charisma!!
Me and my husband loved most of it apart from the Bernstein section and 'I could have danced all night'. We are not fans of this music and i dont feel it suits operatic vocals. But everyone else seemed to love it! (???)
The 02 is unimpressive: ugly, very cramped seating, an eye sore. I've been to football stadia that are better than this! But the tickets were quite reasonable (i wanted tickets for the Opera House but they were as usual, obstructively and outrageously expensive). We would not return to this venue but we would definately want to see both these performers again if we could afford it. As a working class girl, from a lagre council estate in Watford i think it's so important that any opera is accessible to all and not monopolised by the middle and upper classes! It's simply wonderful!

Placido Domingo and Angela Gheorghiu were incredible. Angela's dresses were pure DIVA however I was not so thrilled with the dead animal she was pulling around the stage on the bottom of one of the dresses. Voices from heaven brought tears to the eyes. Shame on you rude people who left when they thought it was the end (as per programme). Those of us who continued with the standing ovation were treated to an extra 30 minutes of sheer delight and indulgence.
