It was really nice to see Dave Matthews and the rest of the crew so close. The venue was very nice with just the right amount of people, and Dave was dancing while performing as madly as ever :)

The DMB live experience is definitely one to be recommended. I was mesmerized throughout the show - some parts just felt like a jamming session. The band seemed to be loving the occasion as much as the audience. They didn't even play two of my favourite songs (Two Step and The Space Between), but I still loved it. I'd definitely see them again. And again. And again.

The warm up band were very good. Dave Matthews Band were amazing - even better than I had anticipated! It was a shame that there was not a bigger crowd as they deserve to sell out the SECC. All of the band showed off their musical talents and the live effect was much more astounding than can be achieved by listening to the CD. All very talented - ! had a great time singing along to all the tracks from their new album.

Last time I saw DMB was at Wembley and I got chatting to a couple from America who had flown over especially as they weren't used to seeing them at such a "small" venue! They should have saved themselves as the O2 Academy in Birmingham proved to be one intimate gig. A traditional location, the kind where your feet stick to the floor and the merchandise is sold on a tressle table! For that reason seeing a massive band like DMB there was simply a dream come true, a really special experience. They were on top form, played for over two and a half hours and kept the audience awestruck with their talent.

It was SOOOOOOOOOO good. The set list included loads of less played songs such as #27 and Stay or leave!! :O And Dave was as funny as ever, and it was all just very very enjoyable. I also enjoyed not having a supporting band.

DMB are unreal. One of the tightest bands i have ever seen. Every time, a faultless live performance. A plethora of tracks from an enormous back catalogue. Unfortunately their selection process leaves alot to be desired. So bored for most of the set. The band has such a great vibe and have the capacity to get a crowd moving, sadly, they didn't bother. I would recommend in future not keeping below 12bpm for the first 20 minutes of the show. This wouldn't stop me seeing the band again, but my god they need to liven up next time.

As always, DMB did not disappoint. A great mix of classics and their firmly established new album, delivered with Dave's unique babble of info. I thought Jeff Coffin was going to end up in one given the effort he put into his solo....truely amazing!!! Leroi will never be replaced, but Jeff certainly is an appropriate addition to the band.
Its such a shame they only tour on an infrequent basis to these parts...and super venue for a gig with great access to drinks and an easy selection of positions from which to take in the music. All in all....top concert!!

Excellent gig from a tight band who obviously 'know' each other and can jam for ever if left to it, but as always they go off into their solo's but bring it back to the song , in and out, as tight as the proverbial tight thing. This was the 3rd time i've seen Dave and this was more of a 'classic' gig in the sense that they mixed more old classic numbers with newer songs. All in all a true pro and pro band who can rock out and mellow it out with the best of them.

Just got into this band about nine months ago, so I've been battering into three of their albums for the last six months. Was a good gig, though I wasn't too happy with the sound, the bass was more or less a fart, Dave's guitar was non existent, which was a shame. Still a good gig, with some top notch solos.

The band was really tight and polished, just as you would expect, and driven up by rapturous applause from an enthusiastic and dedicated audience. DMB are without genre, and appeal to all tastes and ages, as reflected in the audience from teenage to the wrong side of 50. Two and a half hours of sheer wizardry - just wish it didn't have to end there. DMB still have a limited (but dedicated) fan base over here, so would struggle to fill the largest venues, but to me this is a plus as the best concerts are to be found in venues like the O2 Academy and ticket prices are more reasonable. And I didn't need to take binoculars!!

Absolutely loved it. Saw them in Hyde Park last year, bought some of their music and they became my new favourite band. Their music really suited this smaller venue, and its all so good. Good mix of old and new (that I don't know so well), and so many good bits, the clarinet solo, Boyd Tinsleys volin solos, those two slow numbers at the start of the encore that I don't know and finishing with Watchtower - couldn't be better. They really seem to enjoy playing and its infectious. They are really big in the US but don't seem to be that well known over here - if you haven't seen them, you're really missing out!
